The mail out must be staggered. Was it the 10.30am screening on 13th Jan? I got this email last night, just after 9pm. If you're only getting the email now, no wonder all the tickets have gone!
Keep checking for tickets as often they release more or people return them as the date of the screening gets closer. If I miss out on tickets, I save a link to the page in my bookmarks and check it regularly.0 -

There can't have been any tickets when they sent it - it's just not possible they all went in the millisecond between my getting the email and clicking the link...
Frustrating :spam:
If you only rely on SFF to send you codes, you will never get tickets.
You need to be subscribed to the codes only thread to ensure you have the best chance of getting tickets.0 -
If you only got that email today, it is no wonder you can't get tickets. I got that around 430pm yesterday and others got it much earlier.
It's so annoying that the email gets to people at different times. I rely heavily on this forum for their free tickets as their mailouts are so slow.
Does anybody on here pay for the SFF annual subscription? I do, and if this means that I'm meant to get priorty it's clearly not working!0 -

The email they sent normally contains a code that has been posted on all the forums. I can't remember getting one with a new code before now.
Usually, they only send codes by email for films they can't shift tickets for and even then the code is old.
The email with the weekly info on releases always goes out in stages over a couple of days or so.0 -
If you've never seen it or can bear to watch it again,
Oranges and Sunshine is on BBC2 on Saturday night at 9:45pm. Stock up tissues now.
When I saw it as preview in 2011, I couldn't leave my seat for 10 minutes after the film finished, I was sobbing so hard and I wasn't alone. The staff had to clean around most of the people who had come to see it.0 -

According to the Vue newsletter, 'Next week... look out for free advance screenings of Hitchcock!'
Will probably be a competition for free tickets like they normally do.0 -

This is why it's so frustrating - if you can get their codes from about everyone other than them..and going directly to them gets you the leftovers, it's pretty rubbish
The time for everyone who just got my email to read or delete, not to mention the carbon footprint of every email..but the stupidity of sending out an email they must know the recipient can't use...not a good look for SFFDon’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.0 -
SFFs role is not primarily to issue codes. The media partners do that i.e. Magazines, newspapers and various other organisations.
Go back and read exactly what the email says. It says there are a few tickets available. They are offering the surplus to us on that code.littlejaffa wrote: »This is why it's so frustrating - if you can get their codes from about everyone other than them..and going directly to them gets you the leftovers, it's pretty rubbish
