What has happened to street view on Google Maps?

This was working fine until a couple of days ago. Now when I drag the little man across to the desired location he just disappears and nothing happens:mad:

I can't seem to get into street view at all now. I can see the satellite view but not the street.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Working ok for me too, but it has always been iffy. Mine usually crashes after a few drops of the man and I have to start again.

Try a different internet browser. If that works then see which add-ons & extensions you have and turn them off one at a time until it works. Might be Flashblock

Where are you trying to view? Street View hasn't been on every single street yet. It could be they haven't been there.

If the street you want to view isn't highlighted in blue when you position the little man then it won't show up.

I used it recently after about 1 year, I was surprise how easy the street view now is, just Zoom in and it automatically goes to street view. Its really funny seeing my old Car, its still there.

I've noticed this as well - I'm using version 5.2.1.1588 on my W7 work machine and Streetview has vanished altogether, whilst it remains and works fine with the newer version on my W7 home machine. For some eason I can't update any higher at work and I do have admin rights on the PC

The advice on Google Earth help for V5.2 and earlier is to enable streetview in the Layers panel but so far, I'm not being given that option to tick.

Solved the problem by downloading Google Chrome and it seems to be working fine on there.

I can't understand it because it was working OK on IE9 a couple of weeks ago.

Never mind, will just alternate between browsers.
