Unfortunately my husbands tutor had already paid the 'fine' before he could explain to her and guide her to this site. As with a lot of people she was worried about the consequences....shame.

Oh no, hate to hear this - sorry but the Tutor is an uninformed idiot. It only takes a Google to find out it's a scam!

    Hi all,

    Update.

Well 'notice of legal proceedings' arrived today. Nice pink letter. Pretty threatening if you were ill informed.

I believe from the sticky that this is the last one (appears to be 2 the same on there) - hopefully!

So thanks for all your advice - made sure we have passed on info to others!

The "Notice" always arrives. But the actual proceedings never do. Very odd. Anyone would think they were bluffing, but surely a fine upstanding company wouldn't resort to such underhand tricks.... would it?
  • Hi all, just thought that I would update you and let you know that we are now in receipt of the infamous PS&P Ltd chain of junk... I have followed a similar thread referring to these letters and am of course still ignoring...

Today we have had the FORMAL NOTIFICATION letter and we wait with eager anticipation for the DOORSTEP COLLECTION TEAM to arrive within 7 days...

    Will let you know.

  • Hi all,
Well as expected no doorstep collection however this morning we have received a letter informing us that legal action through the county court is about to start.

The letter also reminds us that this will affect our credit rating along with any other occupiers of the address. (not sure about this info?)

Should we be concerned? No court papers have been received, is this just another scare tactic in order to get us to pay up?

    Thanks
    Toni

Issuing a court claim will not affect your credit rating. Tells you all you need to know.

They've written to you enough times. If they had any kind of case they'd have issued a claim a LONG time ago.

The fact that they haven't can tell you one thing only. They have no case, and what's more they know it.
    Je Suis Cecil.
  • Hi,
Thanks, it is as I thought so will sit tight.
