Seriously, if you are typical of the independant carpet retailers in this country then no wonder you have trouble selling stuff with an attitude like that.
Where does one learn about carpets - tw at academy?
Soooo many brain dead assumtions you have with nothing to back them up with, you have said nothing that is factually correct in this thread whatsoever & give the impression of someone with oppositional defiant disorder... hang on thats a childhood condition... surely not!?0 -

B, Yes
C, No!! (how is a carpet made? which yarns are more expensive? what is maclon? how is wool content accurately measured? Which is the best wool? Which wears better, polypropylene or nylon? What prevents colour fading? Why is latex content important?)
Do you have the answers to these questions?
You like to ask questions, but won't answer them yourself - why is that? Do you have a direct answer for the question you've been asked several times? Which of Carpetright's competitors do you work for?jumpinjackflash wrote: »My agenda is the truth & for people to be educated & aware in order for them to make a fully informed choice!!! That is what this site was set up by Martin for... i'm interested to know what you are on the site for?
I'm on the site for impartial advice on how to save money, whereas you appear to be on the site to rubbish a direct competitor. If you had been open and honest about your presumed business interests ("presumed" because you won't answer the question), then I would have treated your posts with more respect. As you obviously have a vested interest, you just come across as a bitter person who is trying to rubbish a direct competitor.0 -
Mobile phones these days don't seem to be built to last. I know people who have had iPhones costing £400ish last as little as 2 years, I also have relatives still using Nokia 3310 and have been using for many years costing a fraction of the price. So how do the likes of Apple justify over-inflated prices on products of inferior quality?
It was a rhetorical question. I was making a point.
Massive connectability, useability & function... thats soooo obvious!
Hey gadget man... can you do this!!! :cool:0 -

Damn, I've been rumbled. Better go, school in the morning
Oh and if education is your agenda then you'd make a very poor teacher......see what I did there0 -

I don't work for any of carpetrights competitors that was your accusation i didn't feel the need to justify myself, i have had to defend myself from all the negativity & attacks i have been recieving though... i simply have a good objective knowledge of the carpet retail industry in the uk & product quality & pricing & how it is being abused by the national chains. I am speaking honestly about what i know & how i feel because i believe what they are doing is fundamentally wrong & the public should be made aware & protected from these kinds of practices... unfortunately the shrewd & educated about these practices are the minority not the majority... most of the public are still vulnerable.
Because of this then simply saying "They should know better so more fool them" is quite patronising & just allows them to continue 'as fools' "
That is what this site is all about... i didn't expect to find the atmosphere i've been given, in this my first thread, by people of supposed same morals & values as myself... its quite sad really0 -
A bit pot kettle black springs to mind considering the attacks you have also dished out.0

Is that the best you can do......and I'm the one with the childhood condition.
You almost sounded sincere in post 77......didn't last long.
But I bow to the superior knowledge of the CARPETMASTER in his quest to educate the UK of the shady goings on in the UK carpet retailing sector.0 -
Jumpinjackflash, you are beginning to get quite abusive.
You have now posted so much unsubstantiated drivel that you are now able to post links.
Please can you provide some of the citations you were asked for earlier.0
