  • rising good luck for tomorrow.I've had numerous MRIs.They're very noisy,so they'll give you ear-plugs.I cope with them best by keeping my eyes shut for the duration. They give you a bell you can press if you need help.If you're feeling nervous, you could maybe ask for a wee tablet beforehand?

Oops! C ocked up big time in my calculations, actually only on 4 NSDs at present. However, I promise (cross my heart with whipped cream and cherries on the top) that I will have a total of 5 in the bag by the end of Thursday, and another should happen on Sunday so by the end of this week I will be on 6.

Now watch some booger come along and spoil my plans.

Tis ok, I just found it very hard to lie very still
Was terrified that if I moved I would have to do it all again :rotfl:

Thank you both ..... tbh I'm dreading it :( - most things don't phase me too much but I'm claustrophobic . Having to lie still in a teeennnnny loo roll which sounds like it's had a bad curry the night before isn't my first choice on how to spend a morning!:o

I have had one before but it was the open ended machine (and they did have to pull me out when I 1st went in when I had a bit of a panic) but at least once I was in, I could see out the end and managed to get through it .... this ones at a diff hosp and just dreading that it's one of the sealed unit scanners ..... really not sure I could handle that.:(

  • Third day in a row. I think I may have lost my spending chromosome somewhere!

Took a break this afternoon, wrapped up well and went to the local public gardens with flask of coffee and home baked banana bread. I sat down in the sun, had my coffee and took out my sketchpad and pencil and drew a leaf! Haven't done any sketching for years, couldn't believe how relaxing it was.

No fancy equipment just paper and pencil; cheap, portable and fun.

  • Evening everyone...
kittikins I hope that you're feeling better.
    rising, good luck for tomorrow.
I am here to report nsd#4. It's suddenly well after 8pm and I've barely had time to do anything today. Thankfully I'm less stiff than I was yesterday, but work is really properly stressing me out - there's a lot of rubbish going on that I wish I wasn't involved in but I keep getting dragged into. I just keep hoping and praying that this job application I put in elsewhere is successful. I know my chances are small, but I really think it's time for me to move on.

mytimetoshine - glad you're enjoying our chat about the disused underground stations, I love social history so find things like that fascinating - and no need to apologise about the quote, I don't hold any copyright over my posts (unless they are REALLY funny...which isnt' often :rotfl:)

oh, and sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Tacto used to accept coupons for any product so long as they sold it but stopped that. They also used to accept competitor MOCs but pulled the plug on that last year too - so just the same as the other stores now :( Not sure about Waity's but I am on the coupon thread a lot and if this were true would think someone would have mentioned it by now.

Good luck tomorrow Rising - we'll be thinking of you xx and fingers crossed for the application Wannabe x

Well....hope you're all sitting down for this...NSD #5 in the bag already :j Friend at work bought her dog in today so we took him for a walk at lunchtime which kept me out of the shops. Must admit fridge is looking a little empty since I didn't go shopping at the weekend, reckon we can prob get through to Thurs when I was planning to pick a few bit up at L!dl so would be spending anyway but it's gonna be tight  Might need milk tomorrow but don't count that as thats an essential in our house. Thank goodness I have my NSD mojo back as car tax is due at the end of the month :eek:

  • Hi all NSD 6 today (4 in a row). FReezing cold here in the west midlands OH swears this house is the coldest and i agree with him. Tried to do what we can to make it feel warmer but to know avail now OH is babbling on about moving, like we have the spare cash to do that. Fed up with renting but not like we will ever have the money for a deposit on a house not with two kids and the bills we have to pay feeling very fed up today and need a lift. Landlord is one of those who does not maintain the property just does things when they break.

  • Ohhhhhh, ouch to the coccyx, I bruised mine years ago and still remember how sore it was:( - glad you enjoyed it tho':D

Well, No 3 today .... been really busy all day and shattered so not a lot else to report.

Will have to be one of those "unavoidable" spendy days tomorrow - going to an MRI scan which involves a car journey, train journey and bus ride just to get to the hosp (nightmare to get too and takes over 2 hours by the time I wait for trains & buses) .... not looking forward to it at all - and may just have to visit John Lew*is on the way home although I've now forgotten what I [STRIKE]wanted[/STRIKE] needed:o

Will be thinking of you tomorrow and praying for an open MRI scanner for you :grouphug:
