    I've got
    gas/electric (combined)
    water
    home phone/broadband (combined)
    mobile phone
    central heating cover
    council tax
    gym

my building/contents and car insurances have been paid as one-offs for the last few years
my car breakdown is on d/debit, but that's only once a year (January)

I'm about to lose my endowment d/debit (it matures after the next payment)
and I don't have rent/mortgage or TV licence which most people have

I pay my credit cards in full each month, but I do it manually to push me to check the statements (to make sure all the spends were mine) and ensure there's enough in the right bank account before doing so. I don't count the days I pay those as spends, as I count the days I use them.

    • Bike insurance - really no excuse for not paying this annually - just didn't get around to doing it:o
    • Income protection insurance - would love to get shot of this but the Big R is hanging over me:( and I'd never get another policy as there have already been redundancies where I work (usually stated in T&Cs & would make a new policy invalid)
    • Cat insurance (x 2 but 1 payment)
    • Mortgage
    • Bank account fee (have downgraded recently & saved £10/month but use the *perks* with this)
    • CC - but always pay in full

Hey - I've lost one:) - the last one must've been the house insurance!:)

Sorry I have been awol for a while...been snowed under again. Just managed to fight my way out to let you know that Sunday and today are NSD’s and so I am up to16/ 14 woohooo!!! :j:beer:
Anyway what time does this shindig start tonight then? I have 18 vats of moonshine  (I made extra as it is spoons leaving party too!!), ballonns and banners and and my own veggie sausages to bring. Thanks for heads up Kerry:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Careful MTTS - Igor's idea of vegetarian sausages is prob sausages made OF vegetarians

I thought it would be best to take no chances!

Well done jinty for organising the band for our end of month celebration hoe-down on Wednesday! Igor is still chasing the pig for the hog roast at present, but we have fixed up a pig trap in the garden so hopefully hogroast will still be on the menu. Just need a wagonload of bread rolls, a vat of coleslaw, a few kilos of butter, loads of ketchup, gallons of mustard, a sack of onions (got to have fried onions with the roast hog slices in the rolls) and of course a hundredweight of chapattis or naans to go with the lurvely sprout curry. Remember if you want baked beans bring your own tin and tin opener! Now, to start peeling those onions......sniff! sniff! Waaahhhh!

Excellent I shall dig out a tin of Heinz beans....looovvveee ketchup with my veggie sausages!!:T

    Rising from the ashes
    Arrrrrggggghhhhh - feeling cheated today....

Had to go to an all day meeting - no mention of lunch was mentioned & most people thought it was bring provided but I was good and took my sandwich with me ..... only to discover there was no fridge (now I know some of you may have "risked it" but having "tummy troubles" it's just not worth it).

Even worse - there were no tea/coffee or even water supplies provided

So 1 sandwich & 2 cans of coke were purchased.

    Not impressed .....

OMG – that is terrible! A very poor show indeed. I would take the sprout curry with you next time and leave it uncovered in the meeting room out of principle!:p

I know it's early but my day is planned out and I am not spending a bean today. so that's 12 luvverly NSDs and February's target achieved for me!

Nora - DT is staying for the party tonight. He doesn't know it yet, but the handcuffs are not coming off until after midnight and then he takes his chances fighting his way out of the party. Did I tell you, there's a marquee rigged up on the back lawn of Chateau Nargle. loads of haybales to sit on (I said "SIT", Hubert, not....oh, never mind, pass me the shovel, Igor...), the piggy roast is being cooked slowly over the afternoon, the band are currently rehearsing (hear them banjoes go!), Spoon's leaving cake is now iced and finished after a few heated words with Igor about how to spell "Spoon" (you don't want to hear what his first version was, honestly!) and I am now going to put my face on and get into my glad rags. Yes, I know it's hours away yet, but you can't rush a work of art......

Sorry you are taking a back seat for a bit spoon but I completely understand why. I have also done the full time work and part time course thing and it is not easy. I’m sure we can all :) some of us can behave! Thanks for making me feel so welcome when I joined!! Good luck with all the studying! :TSee you soon.

Back to work for me now....:(
See you all later then. I’ll be the one dressed as princess Fiona!

Now what is all this here.....18 vats of lighter fuel? Creosote? Paint stripper? Smells a bit way-hay!
Ah, found the label " Moonshine by Mytime ".....oh good, glad someone has brought some drinky poos to wash down the hog roast.......and of course there's prune schnapps on its way as well, so we'll be ok. This will be the first outing that we won't have to resort to Igor's concoctions.

Whaddya mean, Igor, you "added a little something?" You realise Mytime will go ballistic? Particularly during this phase of the moon.....You are an idiot, Igor, interfering with someone else's recipe! You put WHAT in it? So that's why it's that colour......Oh well, if I turn off the lights and light 2500 tea lights nobody will notice the colour. And the sprout curry kills all tastebuds instantly so better shovel that down people's necks before opening the moonshine.

Must say, hog roast smells gorgeous. And have you prepped the barbie for those who are bringing vegetarian sausages? No, Igor, not that kind of vegetarian sausages.

Well, better check on the Good Ole Boys, make sure they haven't snapped a G string or something......

 Nargle.... what is that smell??? Ohh, it's the sprout curry, how could I have forgotten that delightful aroma!!!!!

I've spent ages today cleaning the Tardis ready to hand over to Nora so we need to keep that bloomin' donkey out of there tonight. Where is he anyway, I hope Igor's not trying to spit roast him again like last time......

    Hubert.....
:) The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time :)
  • Oppps sorry spoon I borrowed Hubert earlier to have a wee chomp at the lawn ......

Best to keep him out the Tardis if it's all nice & clean - the spring growth on the grass may have a little effect on him!
