Hi Miss T - take all your payslips in with you on Friday, and get the wages person to go over every one with you - and to share their wage calculation with you (ie show you how they work out what you'll get each month). Also, if they've made a mistake this month, then they should be prepared to cover any financial consequences (ie overdraft fees, bounced cheque fees etc), so make sure you keep a beady eye on your account.

    Hope it's all sorted quickly.

Thanks for the advice Nora. Unfortunately my wages get sorted out my the council not my actual work place. The person I have to see is my bursar who will just ring the council to see what has happened. I get paid for a specified number of hours no matter how many additional hours I do so my wage should be the same each month. I do have additional responsibilities so I get paid for these, however they weren't included in my 1st 2 wages, so that had to be back paid and sorted out. Even then this is the same amount every month, so my wages should at least be consistent.

I have rung HR and they couldn't understand what on earth has happened, my wage slip looks a mess, they've taken off money, put it back on, taken it off etc. So I am now waiting to find out what is going on from the person who sorts out wages for my place of work.

I think I should be okay with money this month, it will just be a little bit tight until I get everything sorted!

Hi All... Am new to the NSD challenge but would like to sign up for February... From October last year I overspent on top of debts I already had and managed to get my monthly budget nearly £400 off balance... and ended up having to use Wonga and vicious cycle ensued! January I have been really good - but February I want to get back on track. So.....

I am aiming for 15 NSDs and am going to try for 5 IN A ROW

I am not including Direct Debits for essentials like rent and bills, and am not including fuel - as I pretty much have to get to work regardless. This, together with my weekly spend challenge (on another thread) will be great for reeling in my spending!

    Good luck everyone!!! Let' save £ £ £ £ £ £ £

Hi all, just popping in to declare NSD No 1 today. I don't count DD's or SO's as I consider they're already spent when I put the money into the bank account.
Hope everyone's had a good day.
Hugs to anyone who needs one.
