  • Hi CP - wow! You certainly managed to fit a lot into yesterday!! Well done and am so glad you are feeling a little better.

Catherine - well done on leaving your job! Sometimes, the hassle and stress is just not worth it. Good idea with the ebay listing challenge of 5 items a day.

Well done on the bingo win Nat!! :T We are loving fab bingo!

Becksta - what a lovely post & I have to agree this is the best thread on MSE by far! :)

Aesop - Hope you are continuing to recover and are feeling a bit better.

Just checked my back account and £10 referral from fab bingo has gone in. Also £20 profit from Rogers Bingo has gone in. All transferred to my savings account. Joined rogers bingo in Dec 2011 - not the easiest to make on. The £12.50 quidco cashback did not track (claim raised) and the minimum withdrawal is £50. Had a fluke win on free bingo and managed to convert some of it to cash by playing regular games. Then had to deposit another £20 to get to £50 to withdraw. A lot of time and hassle, but glad I managed a little profit in the end. Will wait and see if cashback pays out but not holding my breath on that one.

    Have a good day ev1 :D
  • Woohoo my netflix cashback has gone up to £15 after I put a claim in for 'highest cashback', thanks for the suggestion:D.

    Hi everyone

I am a long time MSE'r but tend to read & enjoy threads rather than post regularly. Having read this thread since the start of the year I wanted to congratulate you all for having such a warm, friendly and supportive thread. The fact that people can open up on here without fear of being judged or shouted down is wonderful and in my mind this is the best thread on the MSE forum.

I'm sure that a problem shared is a problem halved and hope all those who are going through both financial and/or emotional turmoil keep posting and keep positive.

I'm sorry if this is 'off topic' but felt compelled to write to show my support :o

    Best wishes, Becky

thanks Becky, very nice of you to post and share :)
  • I'm a bit of a lurker on this thread as I thought making £10 a day would be impossible so I've been trying the odd thing here and there and its suprising what it adds up to, so I'm def gonna sign up to next months challenge.
It helps when other people recommend sites they have tryed and received money from. I tried the Fab B!ngo and only managed to win £8.87 but every little helps hey and without the guidance of MSE and the referral links this would not have been possible :D

    Mine too :D

I wonder if I can pick your brains and call on your expertise :P

My daughter turns 18 this summer. I had an idea to treat her to a spa break using my Tesco vouchers. I have had a quick look at the options but wondered which is the best way to go about it. Is it better to book a straight forward mini/hotel break and then add on the treatments we want or is it best to go for an inclusive spa break. I am just making enquiries at the moment because even with the T vouchers I'm not sure if we can afford it. My daughter had to turn down a holiday invite with a friend because the price was extortionate and I do not want her to miss out completely on a treat.

durham_mim, I have never used my tesco vouchers for rewards, so cannot answer that question.

Have you looked into alternatives? How about lastminute.com? They do spa breaks, or even groupon/wowcher/livingsocialdeals, etc? You may find something much better much cheaper. And personally, I would go all inclusive, as then you are not worrying about the extra treatments.

    good luck hun.
