just reporting back that my broadband has been behaving itself all week! wow! :T, so it does seem that BT have managed to clear the problem.
That phone call to them on Monday lunchtime is one of the high points of my year so far - very productive.:D and I know I'm very sad...:rotfl:
Once again, many thanks to all who responded to my plea for help in understanding. Much appreciated. I'm passing on the info you gave me to everyone I can (or who will listen...)
