Yes but there is normally a picture of a parent and pram, there are unwritten rules in life that most of us seem to be able to abide by in the interest of living in a fair and just society. There are a minority of people who disregard those rules for their own personal interest..
It was a lighthearted post but when it is raining, I've got a wonky trolley full of shopping, Baby in the seat bit, other children round my legs and i cannot manouvere in the normal parking bit. I do think that people who park in those bays without smallish children are selfish.0 -

But surely it's the supermarkets duty to monitor this, and not other members of the public.0 -
i worded my sons in loos alone not going til i feel and they are ready to go alone around male toilets not because of just male pedophiles but because its not a place a female should be going( men, urinals in use.. dirty smelly places.) and i just dont feel comfortable thinking of letting my child in alone.
And yes i do think somebody could steal my baby if i went to the loo andleft the bugy out side for cryig out loud!! jamie bulger naming but just one child who was with adults and was left alone out of eye shot for minutes. Kids think up sick practical jokes, adults in some cases can be sick as spread all across the news. IM NOT TAKING ANY CHANCES WITH MY CHILDRENS HEALTH AND SAFETY.
as for parent and child spaces, most in my area do say for parent and young child/toddlersus x0 -
I would add that sometimes people have no alternative other than to park in what are desgnated as 'parent and child spots', as the extra space these spots afford are needed for various reasons whilst getting in and out of the car. So, not everyone is selfish, but they genuinely do not have any alternative to park elsewhere.0

apparantly all the mid day shoppers were in hysterics
My brother used to be evil to my mum. She used to take him in the cubical with him and as she would proceed to park her bottom and relive herself, my brother would blurt out "Eeeewwww mum, are you having a poo?" :rotfl:
And as for leaving the baby outside??? No thanks, if I let my son in the toilet, there is only one place for him to come out, and I am there, but leaving a baby outside? Nope, not gonna happen.
I am quite lucky, in our BHS is a toilet, but it's one massive room and serves as a loo, baby room ect, so I normally take them there and we can get us all sorted in one room in one go.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
When mine were still young enough for a push-chair but old enough to have a conversation with and I got stuck having to use a loo too small for all of us, I'd ask mine to sing all the while I was in the loo. DD sings nursery rhymes, DS sang a rude football chant :rolleyes:0

When my little lad (6 tomorrow) was in a pram he could get himself out no problem so no way would I leave him outside, not that I would anyway.
Nor would I leave him outside a shop or in the car etc.
I was walking to school a couple of weeks ago and spotted a toddler (about 2) asleep in a car while the mum or dad was picking another kid up from school, they couldn't have seen the car from where they pick the kids up, in fact it was quite a way away. I was absolutely disgusted, anything could have happened, she could have woken up and gone to look for her parents, opened the door on the main road & got run over, or what if someone crashed into the car while she was in it? Or a paedophile found her? Doesn't bear thinking about. If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in

jinky67 wrote:Why do people feel the need to take buggies into toilets anyway ?do you really think that somebody is going to steal your child?
With a double buggy it is often impossible to get through the doors - especially when there are two together.
Do you leave your shopping or bag outside the loo? no you take them with you. Now which is more important ??
Why take your bag and not the baby?????????????0 -
My kids are 8 and 6 and yesterday was the first time I let them go to the gents together in the supermarket, I waited outside the door, and if anyone came out gave them a wee shout in . Up until now they have always came with me into the ladies or all of us in the disabled.
I still wouldn't leave them in the car to go into a shop - or leave them alone in one aisle in the supermarket to look in another. Maybe I'm being overprotective but nether myself or hubby would have it any other way! ( not sure how we will get away with sneaking to cub camp though....)No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:
