I have just brought a car from EH for my daughter and they charged me £98.99 for a vehicle status check. I was told this was compulsory and could not be waived so therefore reluctantly paid. After reading these comments I have emailed them and requested a full refund of the £98.99 which they have agreed to. They also only offered a 3 month warranty not 12 months as advertised on the car details advertised on their website. Again they have now given me a 12 month warranty.

Cancel the deal, get your deposit back and run like hell. Surely the above experience shows what kind of company you are dealing with.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

I was told the sales team there get paid £5 for selling the car but £50 for selling the admin fee and similar generous amounts for selling 20% APR and warranty, and service plan, and GAP, and paint protection.

Not surprised so many people have been lumbered with it. They tried hitting me with a warranty I hadnt asked for and when I refused to pay for it they kindly offered to cancel and only charge me a £100 cancellation fee.

In my instance several aspects of FSA regs were ignored or broken and this was fed back to the group and I have not had any response back about this.

They price them cheap to attract people in and then once in you either need a very strong resolve or it will be very expensive.
