  • Morning all, another 2lbs off. Down to 160lbs
Smashed through my weightloss target. Looking at 120lbs+ loss. BMI over 40 down to 20.5. Training hard to get body fat under 20%, not far to go now :j
  • 67.5 kg today. Not good news. That's + 0.9 kg up on last Sunday.

Have no idea why. No idea at all. Been going down the 'healthy eating/low carb' route. No excesses. None of the usual things that people blame - crisps, chocs, pizza, cake. We had a coffee yesterday afternoon in Waitrose and it came with a tiny little shortbread biscuit, about the size of a 50p piece. That's all.

I haven't had a lot of exercise all week, admittedly - my back was playing up after aqua-fit last Monday, haven't been since then. When I was still following Dr Dukan, he prescribes walking every day of your life, but these pavements are treacherous and if I fell over it could be disastrous. So I don't do it.

Disappointed to report I've put on 1.5lbs this week. I know the diet's not been great but it wasn't THAT bad, I did get some gym visits in and when I measured myself I've lost on my waist and hips. But weigh more :(
  • O.k. Feel brave enough to post now. That 1 lb I lost I put on again this week:( I genuinely don't know why. No formal exercise but I cleared the snow off of my drive, the neighbours drive and my parents drive, plus I walked to work everyday carrying loads of books and stuff. I really did well with the diet as well. Ho hum.
Well it is now half term and I was hoping to get below 10 stone. I started well yesterday by walking to town and then walking out on the sea wall in the afternoon. I used nearly 900 calories in total.(I have a heart monitor from when I used to run.) Today I have done less but my back is not feeling so good, I have had a go at Zumba on the wii which might be it for today .
I would so love to get below 10 stone so I am going to make a huge effort. Eating well but healthy and have made fresh veggie soup for lunch each day so far.
How are you feeling now Dragon?

Well done to everyone who is loosing.
Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D

What have you been doing at the gym? muscle weighs more so it could be you have burnt the fat and turned it into muscle hence the loss off your hips and waist but gained weight.

Had a blow out on Saturday to celebrate some good news so over my weekly calories but not by too much so hope to have a small loss. I also did a lot of walking on Wed, Thur, Fri so getting back into exercise so I may be within my weekly calories as I don't deduct calories burned as I never really know how many I have burned doing each activity so maybe that is why some weeks I haven't lost much despite exercise.

For example......My allowance is 1500 calories a day sedentary lifestyle, I stick to the 1500 calories but have burned 600 during exercise that would take me below the min 1200 required for weight loss.

    Does that make sense?

    Hi all,

I lost 3lbs this week, so good start for my February challenge:beer: (even though it started a bit late)! However it just brings me back down to my pre- Christmas weight so back to square one really.

Will continue with food journal, trying to keep below 1200 calories a day for two weeks to kick start new efforts, didn't manage it everyday last week though. The car is in the garage (more expense) so going out walking today with my Son in his pushchair.

Good luck to all this week!
