Wonga/Payday Express - Why don't they play ball?

You took out the loans, you owe the money. If you savings throw the lot at this debt - what's the point in having savings and owing on 2 pay day loans?
I don't suppose it is helping, but that's not the Pay Day loan companies' fault is it?
I don't think the OP has savings, think he has moved money to a savings account so the pay day loan people can't get at it
Think he has plans for it hence why he doesn't want to pay the loans off with it0 -

I defered the loan and paid £110....however, I am scared they have taken another £110 which they did last month with two payments of £80.
Wonga, the same and very unhelpful. I have basically been forced to pay £150 to get an extention. They told me to ring very early tommorow to agree a re-payment plan...that is impossible as with my bank they take the money at midnight with standing order/DDs.
This month was the month I was hoping to get my finances sorted especially as every other company agreed a payment plan. These two are becoming the bane in my side.
I have had to transfer most of money to the savings part of my bank account just to avoid a hit to it.
The thing is, I don't know when I am returning to work and this isn't helping my health due to an anxeity condition.
Any ideas what to do?
Silly me, I assumed that when the OP mentioned the savings part of their bank account, that they actually had some savings. Or did the OP not mean that they had some savings. Who the hell knows.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

So which is it? He doesn't have savings or he has them but wants to use them for something else?0 -

I have been in this situation where payday lenders raid your account at will and in the time it takes to open a new account I had to move my family basic monies i.e. money to feed ourselves to our savings account and went to the counter and withdrew it so they couldn't get their hands on it.
Why have you got such an arrogant, unhelpful attitude towards this. You display a complete lack of understanding and empathy and have added absolutely nothing of any value to this thread.
Do you expect the OP to leave the money for their family in a place where it can be taken away from them? Next you'd be moaning at your tax rises due to lots of people relying on the government welfare fund just to live.
People like you make me shake with rage.0 -

There are a couple of strands to the whole Pay Day Loan thing. Far too many people are abdicating responsibility for their loans and are making unjust and unfair accusations against the companies.
I don't believe that there is ever a situation where getting a pay day loan means the difference between life and death. Never. People want one, they want to avoid bank unauthorised charges due to poor money management, they want to go out and get drunk, pay an unexpected bill, whatever, but they do not NEED it to prevent death.
Secondly, pay day loan companies are up front about their APR and their charges. Therefore, if a person feels the need to get such a loan then they should make sure they understand the charges. They should also understand the consequences of failing to repay the loan where THEY said they would.
I have had a pay day loan that worked a treat for me. Then lent me the money I wanted for a short period of time. They told me what it would cost me. I was sensible enough to pay them back when I said I would. If a person is so stupid and reckless that they gamble with their families food money then really one should question whether they should even have a bank account.
At no point did I say I expected the OP to leave his money where it could be taken away from him (to pay a debt that he owes, that he took out of his own free will that he has now reneged on - but that is apparently by the by eh?). I was merely questioning whether he had savings or not - if he does, then why on earth get a pay day loan??
Finally, if my earlier post made you 'shake with rage' I would imagine this one would have caused your head to explode. If it hasn't please put me on ignore for your own safety.0 -
