The legislatures of the USA certainly recognise the toxicity of Payday Lending.
Payday Lending is illegal in most states of the union under Anti-Usury Laws.
Crumbs almighty! How many times do I have to tell you lot. Payday lending is prohibited in 17 states, and permitted in 33 states. It's therefore legal in most states.0 -

Can you keep your logic and facts off this thread please. This is a thread for insane emotional ramblings and we don't need you bringing your fancy 'knowledge' round these parts, thank you very much.0 -

Wrong. With dodgy math like that, you'd make a perfect punter for.wanka.com!
Here's the reality:
In 17 states of the Union there are explicit laws criminalising "payday loans". Nine more states use other Anti-Usury laws to ban the despicable practice. Lending at a rate above a certain APR is a typical threshold. And *throughout* the union, federal law forbids the issuing of payday loans to vulnerable sectors of society.
Arguably anyone who takes out a payday loan from wonga.com is "vulnerable".
Let's be frank: the scum behind wonga.com belong in Parkhurst.0 -
