many of those taking out payday loans will have substance dependency problems.

On what evidence are you basing that ludicrous allegation?

No blame, no "mis sold loan"....."hands up it was my fault"

Looks like a false flag operation to me.. posted by a propagandist for the payday loan industry.

Be amazed by the number of messages littering the internet from "satisfied payday loan customers".

Those "customers" have an extraordinary talent for sniffing out disparaging threads about payday lending, and for working very hard to neutralise bad perceptions.

    Bwahahaha!

The pharmaceutical industry is just as devious. It is forbidden in law from marketing prescription-only products to the general public.

Instead, it uses "perception management" operatives who work undercover. They pose as patients who made remarkable recoveries thanks for drug X from company y.

    All false of course!

The same may be true of these deeply dubious messages of gratitude to wanka.com.

Filthy industry run by gangsters who belong behind bars.

Go live there then, and take your Marxist ideologies with you. The USA also bans alcohol to 18-21s (including married 20 year olds who have served in the forces for 3 years) and bans everyone from playing online poker from the comfort and safety of their own homes. I'd rather live in a country where I was treated as a responsible adult capable of making my own decisions.

Let's take a clock check on you...

    You're a fascist, a drunkard, a gambler and a debtor.. But you're a "responsible adult", too!

    Bwhaha!

asbokid did you get turned down by wonka or slowquid by any chance. You seem very bitter towards payday loans.

Remember you cant stop people being stupid with their finances, however much you ban things.

Amazing as it sounds (and it does sound pretty far fetched)... some people might actually repay the stupid thing when it is due.

To be totally honest, I think a lot of people who have posted on this thread couldn't give a monkeys if PDL's were banned in the UK. Perhaps it would stop these daily threads about the big bad PDL's 'took my money'.

Question is where will these loan junkies get their fix from in future? If people think any form of regulation or bans will mean people with adverse credit getting credit at near 'normal' rates then I think they are deluded. Their access to credit will be removed.

    "I wouldn't pay them a penny back"

Morally she is 100% right: Don't pay Wonga. They are a rogue operation.

More importantly, can wonga.com use the strong arm of the law to force her to pay?

That surely depends on her circumstance.

"Won't Pay was Made to Pay" ? Or Maybe Not..
