Wonga/Payday Express - Why don't they play ball?

You took out the loans, you owe the money. If you savings throw the lot at this debt - what's the point in having savings and owing on 2 pay day loans?
I don't suppose it is helping, but that's not the Pay Day loan companies' fault is it?
Oh, where to start? It amazes me - in fact, scrap that - it doesn't amaze me at all how many "human beings" lack certain attributes such as EMPATHY. I'm the sort of person (and we're a dying breed) who constantly strives to be as good a person as possible. To spread positivity and to be as nice as possible to my fellow humans. My mother always used to say, "If you haven't got anything nice to say then don't say anything at all!"
Why you even posted this negativity is beyond me. This girl posted thos question for help and advice. Not someone spouting the futility of "WELL IT'S YOUR MESS, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE IT!"
She KNOWS she took out the loan and she KNOWS she owes the money. These companies are making millions and prey on vulnerable people. They whack out loans to all and sundry without credit checks etc, so really - it IS their fault when they encounter customer's who cannot pay can the extortionate sums of money it accumilates to. Should this woman go hungry to pay back what she cannot afford?
Twelvestopsthenhome, I really wouldn't worry too much about these companies, they're full of s**hit! I had the same problem - was more than willing to pay back via installmants and they didnt want to know. So I changed my bank account and my wages are now paid into it. They have more than likely already trashed your credit file - as they did to mine in the first instance of me not settling the sum so what have you got to lose? I wouldn't pay them a penny back. These sorts of companies are illegal in the States so I doubt it will be long before the same happens here. I've read a few articles in women's glossies about these companies and it's already an "issue" in parliament as to what is going to be done.

At which point did the OP say they had savings?
Why can't people read the ruddy posts before making unhelpful useless comments
OP has an online saving account with lloyds, if you read the posts you would have known that
These accounts can be opened with £1 and that isn't going to go very far with Wonga or PDE now is it :rotfl:
It sounds like the OP is transferring whatever gets paid into the current account, into the savings account, to avoid the pdls taking it!
12stops you need to follow the HELPFUL advice above and open another bank account, away from lloyds. Otherwise lloyds will allow the payments to the pdls then you will also have a pile of overdraft charges. They can and will move money from the savings account to then clear your overdraft.
How the pdls taking the payments? Have they got your debit card details?
Totally agree. I've been reading through some of these answers and I just feel disgusted. People obviously fancy themselves as smart but they come across self-righteous and idiotic with zero empathy. I've left her an answer which I hope will help.0 -
