hi,
In reply to my earlier question I am thinking of doing a bog standard History degree so that I can then get into Teacher Training. My current degree is Archaeology which at the moment I cant use to do a Post Grad Teacher Training course (at least part time).

Welshy,
Cannot you tell Tesco you've moved back in with your parents, wait a few weeks, get them to pool the points into your name then use the points/'move back'0 -

I do not have a clubcard bu my mum does. I have never seen a leaflet or anything online to apply for one.
I am interested in this way of paying for the OU so how do I get a clubcard?0 -

I've just checked the website at http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/clubcard_n/howtojoin.asp and it assumes you already have the card. Ask for one at the Customer Services Desk in your local Tesco.0 -
Seems like I would need to sepnd £10,000 in Tesco to accumulate enough points for £100 worth of vouchers and redeem them to get £400's worth, is this correct?0

Yes, but they occasionally have bonus points offers and/or you can earn clubcard points outside Tesco at partners or using a Tesco credit card.clarabell1984 wrote: »Seems like I would need to spend £10,000 in Tesco to accumulate enough points for £100 worth of vouchers and redeem them to get £400's worth, is this correct?0 -

I think in my case I would just be spending on things I don't need to get points for vouchers, i'd prob just be better paying the course myself. I do not purchase any of the groceries from my household, I live with my mum and she does it. Even if I got her points it would only be like 50 point + any added bonuses.
I think even if I bought everything I needed from tesco to get the points, I could lose ou in the long run as I could be spendning more than I need to to get the points.
It's a fab offer though if you use tesco loads, wish I did :rotfl:0 -
You do not have to pay for the course in full using Tesco clubcard vouchers. So even if you only collected £10 worth of points in a year you could still get £40 off your course.clarabell1984 wrote: »I think in my case I would just be spending on things I don't need to get points for vouchers, i'd prob just be better paying the course myself. I agree, it is not worth spending more just to get the points but if you already shop there then it is worth it even for only a few pounds saving.0
