Limited coverage with Vodafone??

Hello Heidi
I had looked there earlier today as I still have no signal and now getting very annoyed being given duff information. It states there is a problem and -are looking into it but there is no timescale for sorting it out. Brilliant!
Not good enough as I need to be able to be contacted if needed. That's why I pay for a contract!
Over to you Heidi - what's the next step you suggest?0 -
I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you, Voda sometimes takes weeks, if not months, to fix masts. That was certainly the case when I was with them and I can't see them having improved since last May...Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0

yup. switch to o2 or giffgaff or tesco mobile0

Thanks but I can't. I took out a new contract about 7 months ago. I've been with them for well over 10 yrs and never had any problems until the last few months. Typical especially at a time when I need to be contactable wherever I am .0

Vodafone are not going to fix a problem any quicker for you saying you're paying for a contract, there will probably be hundreds of people living within the range of the same mast as you who have a contract so your voice is very small. I would imagine they have covered network unavailability very carefully in the T&Cs so they have no liability to customers.
If you must be contactable I'd suggest buying a cheap phone and a PAYG SIM card for a network that is working where you live and forward calls from your Vodafone number to the new one. Obviously that's no good if you live in a place (as I do) where Vodafone is the only option available.0 -
I regularly have problems with Vodafone and signal, spent a couple of days with none except for one spot in my house which was hit and miss! Hopefully changing to another network shortly, only way to solve your problem I reckon!0

Oh I agree. I'm not that silly to expect them to sort it out just for me! Mind you that would be nice wouldn't it.........:D.0 -
UPDATE:
Still without coverage. Tried to call VF several times during the past few days but without any success. Have emailed them, received automated replies saying would come back to me in 48hrs. Still waiting. I can't call 191 because my phone won't do anything. Called finding alternative 0870 number but no help there. Mind you how would they know in India or wherever what's going on in the UK!
Heidi - emailed you too as you suggested but heard nothing
