Limited coverage with Vodafone??

Is anyone else having problems with Vodafone? For two days I have "limited coverage. Emergency calls only".

I have turned my phone off, taken the battery out but it hasn't made any difference.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed please! Thanks.

If it was working aright before then it could be that Voda are updating some thing or they don't know that mask were you live is down you may have to give them a ring.

  • Ive been having signal problems with Vodafone for the last 3 weeks and i telephoned them and also emailed them my problem was down to upgrading of masts in my area ( west of scotland ) You could also try taking the phone off the network by checking for manual networks , then join o2 then let it say cant join o2 then rejoin the vodafone network then reboot ur fone and see if that helps, usually the troubleshootin guide they give u, but i would telephone and tell them u r having problems
Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.

Thanks to yo both. I have tried to connect to another network but obviously couldn't. Vodafone isn't listed as a network available so I'm thinking you are both right and there is possible updates going on. I can't call them as phone not working but will check out to see if there is an alternative number for them. Many thanks again. Just goes to show how much younrelymon your phone especially as people trying to contact you!

Sounds strange but a punt, have you paid the bill?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Lol chanz4! Direct debit - all monies taken and on time by Vodafone!

I've now spoken to Vodafone. They say it must be my sim card and a new one is on it's way to me. Hopefully that will cure the problem. My sim card is so old apparently it isn't recharging every two hours as it should.

Thanks for all your help :).

When you said earlier that Vodafone wasn't in the list of networks, did it show others, such as Orange, O2 etc?

If so, there is nothing wrong with your sim, your local mast is down and you've been fed a crock of sh1te from Vodafone!
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

The only reason I asked, when I used to work for singlepoint years ago no signal ment Admin bar had been applied

Yes you are right! Drove into large town this afternoon and went into VF shop and the person who served us lives in the same town as me and said he's had problems. He came into work today to find messages saying engineering work going on in our area. Calls could be made and received whilst there but now home and limited service/emergency service only again.

    Hi guys,

If you are experiencing signal issues in your area, I would suggest taking a look at our eForum Faults Board here. We list all known faults and update them when they are resolved.

If you can't find anything listed there, you can also post to the team here so they can look into it further for you.

If anyone needs any help, feel free to drop me an email to the address here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject. Please also include a link to your post when emailing.

    Many thanks,
