The offer says;
In the meantime, as a gesture of goodwill to our loyal customers, we shall shortly be advertising in the national press that we will be offering a free current England away shirt to any customers who present evidence of the purchase of a 1999/2001 England home or away shirt or a Manchester United home or Centenary shirt of 2000/2002. Evidence of purchase will include handing in one of the shirts in question to our stores or presenting a valid till receipt or credit card statement. In addition customers will also receive a free England mug.
If you dont have a receipt (and who would after 6years) to handover your shirt. My question is;
Would you get it back?
And how would they be able to tell if you bought it in JJB?0 -
Are those 4 shirts on the bottom of that link the only ones that can be returned anyone? Or can anyone find a picture of the ones in question. I think my daughter has one.mollyann wrote:I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -

Some more information on another thread here:

Basically Which magazine said it was going to claim back the difference on behalf of everyone who'd bought one of these shirts from JJB.
Then JJB responded with this "gesture of goodwill" offer.
But they're only offering the red away shirt, which I think you can buy very cheaply anyway and is nearing the end of its lifespan.0 -
I have two of the Man U red shirts pictured on the site (that we still wear occ) but if i have been over charged on both shirts and i take them to JJB to get new England shirts, wouldnt i be loosing out by more money if they are keeping the Man U shirts????0

just spoke to jjb store, the memo that was sent to them says they take customers details and have to cut out the washing label of the shirts which customer shows to them and thats it. they do not keep your old shirts. good job too, we have a man u centinery shirt which currently costs £95 in some places!Fight for clean hospitals, C-DIFF takes lives

Thats great news.
Did they say anything about a limit on the amout of shirts, as i have two
Also when can you start taking them? and would they give you the same size as the shirts you take back, as my son has grown quite a lot lol0 -
The only evidence accepted would be a reciept, not many people keep 6 year old reciepts, I wish I did^.0

I have two of the england shirts pictured and i got them from jjb, but surely they dont expect you to have kept receipts for 6 years you would need a new house to keep them all in!!0
