On thier site they say 'quote'

"Evidence of purchase will include handing in one of the shirts in question to our stores OR presenting a valid till receipt or credit card statement".

So you dont need a receipt to prove you have bought it there!

on the which? website they say you can use a back dated bank statement to show you paid over the odds for them too

ok so i thought i was helping people. i just took mine and they let me keep my old shirt and i didnt have a receipt. jjb say this is a trust thing and they handed the new shirt and mug along with my old shirt over no problems. very easy and very satisfied.

they dont keep the shirts they may cut the wash label but thats it as i have just kept my centenery shirt and got the away england shirt and a mug.
very easy and nice and polite staff.
if u have the reversable centenery shirt they just ask for your details asthey cant cut the wash label out

well just got my shirt an mug

the gold shirt doesnt have a wash label as its reversible but they still gave me my old shirt back and the new one!!

I have just taken my gold man united top in!! - got it for a car boot for 4 quid too!!!
Got a new england shirt - england mug and kept the gold man u top!!
