    Do you know if this is nationwide? Will it apply to stores in Scotland?
  • Goldie - I've got a new version of that announcement. Do you think it might stand a chance of being valid? :D:D:D

    The offer says;

    In the meantime, as a gesture of goodwill to our loyal customers/fans, we shall shortly be advertising in the national press that many of the current England squad will be offering their current England shirt to any other qualifying English players who present evidence of ability to actually play the game at international level. Evidence will include teamwork and basic abilities such as goal scoring or presenting valid other skills such as tackling back. In addition customers will also receive a free England mug (also known as Steve McClaren.)

    :o Weight loss so far :
    Week 1 - 4.5lbs
    Week 2 - 2.5lbs = 7lbs
  • Yay, got mine today.

    Asked the girl behind the checkout and she said I'd made a mistake and JJB weren't doing an offer like that.
    I said I'd read it on the website and she was adament I was wrong.

    I asked to speak to the manager.. He came over and sorted me out with a new shirt without any problems :-)
    I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!
  • Was anyone asked to sign a form and read a prepared staement is basically said ......

    you acknowlegde that JJB was not at fault and this is a "gesture of good will" , and that by claiming your shirt/mug you now give up all rights to further claims

    if this is correct then when "which" or who ever finally sort out the position and the refunds that you are due (sposedley £20) then you cannot claim this as you have had a shirt/mug ???????

    I wan't asked to sign a form..

    I was just asked to write my name and address on a piece of paper..

    He did remove the washing tag from the shirt though.
    I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!
