I thought that they had defaulted I know that the eu like to change the names of these things like the troika to the three institutions and default to in arrears. Personally I can't see any way out of this for Greece and the eurozone it has to be a grexit or as the eu might call it temporary grexit with large amounts of humanitarian aid.

Greece have submitted the new proposals.

This time, they ask for 3 years.

Bit of a u-turn on debt relief too, as they now ask for it to be merely considered. I don't doubt that the EU will have any problems "considering" it.

Looks like a climb down to me.

yup, since we are in debt and we cannot sustain it and pay it back, lets ask for more money from those terrorists for few years... perfect sense!

Would you prefer they just stuck two fingers up and defaulted on the entire money owed?

As I've said all along....it's up to the LENDERS whether they WISH to hand over more cash. Not Greece.

neither, maybe more that they start to walk the talk or just pull the plug so that the EU can focus on other matters like migrants, Ukraine, etc

I [personally] do no understand how you can accuse your creditors of terrorism, hold a referendum against their terms and then days later ask them for money..."people with no other options must be content with what is offered"

So it appears that Greece can do nothing right. You don't wish them to default, but you don't wish them to have any further loans. Rock and hard place...

It also appears you beleive it's up to the Greeks to walk out of the EU.

However, they can't. The EU doesn't allow it.

So were stuck here. You'll damn the Greeks for whatever they do without any regard for the circumstances they are in.

hmmm maybe we should list their accomplishments to resolve the crisis...

But accusing the EU of terrorism (whilst pushing the EZ down) and not apologising is a no no! And then asking them for more cash few days later...

Personally, I'm guessing Syrzia will cave in. I reckon they would rather sign themselves over to the EU demands than leave the EU.

The people have spoken. What's left to be said?

It was a silly statement to make, granted.

But do you know what prompted the statement?
