I know this is totally barking but people who open crisp packets upside down. There is something about the sight of the writing the wrong way up that drives me potty, I'm the same with tins but at least I don't see it in public. I do keep the irritation to myself though otherwise I'd be certified!

I thought it was just me, I can't stand seeing things opened upside down, it makes me feel funny

My teenage daughter speaking out loud in text speak to me.

    Me: Tidy your room please.
    DD: No.
    Me: Why not?
    DD: CBA TBH
    Me: Just do it please.
    DD: LOL

Her excessive use of the words 'awkward' and 'random' also send me over the edge. She seems to use them in every sentence.

i think my teenage daughter, might also be your teenage daughter!

thats all i seem to hear these days "CBA" or "the awkward moment when....." and "random"

maybe its a subject in school these days ;)

Packaging. That moulded plastic stuff which requires a machete to get into; I regularly end up hurling the stupid item across the room before tending to the numerous lacerations I'm left with. God only knows how the elderly or people with manual dexterity problems cope.

Also the bloody metal tie things which hold kids toys in the packaging. I swear the people putting those things in the package get a real kick out of doing them up in such a tight knot.

One of my pet peeves is people driving £50k+ cars who couldn't spring for the extra £250 for the hands free kit. They seems to think that just because they're driving big expensive cars they are more capable than the rest of us at driving and speaking on the latest IPhone. Funnily enough it's the same people who think they don't need car seats for their young children either.

  • My SIL often puts '......' at the end of her emails or at the end of one of the sentences in her emails. I mean, it's not even dot dot dot, it's dot dot dot dot dot effing dot! What is she trying to do? Put some sort of suspense into her message?! ;)

Erm, other peeves, eating noisily, people who have no manners, people you work with five days a week who are too lazy to even summon up a smile or a 'hello' when you see them around the office, and bad spelling and grammar. It really annoys me when people put apostrophes in the wrong place! :o

I don't think I could bring myself to open crisp packets upside-down! That is just wrong. Oh god, another one to go on my list! :o

  • I love a good old moan and if I say so myself I am very good at it too!

    For starters,

Parents who push their baby's pram/buggy into the road whilst negotiating traffic, all the time they are relatively safe on the pavement yet baba will get full force of any impact. Similarly, those who try to cross a road yards from a zebra/pelican crossing. Why? Why?

Parents who do not put protective sunhats on their babies during summer.

Mascaras that do not do what their packaging promises!

On Christmas Day I want to kill all toy manufacturers - their use of packaging drives me insane. Similarly battery compartments that need a soddin screwdriver. Argh!

Waitresses who have faces liked smacked bottoms.

and... (sorry OP!)are we allowed to name and shame?

Matalan - why do you stock so many of any one item all in the same size? There is nothing as demoralising as looking hopefully through an entire rack of something which all turn out to be the same size -and its not yours!

The endless opening of "money shop" or "cheque center" - we all know what you are!

Abysmally trained staff. Tesco - I mean you!

The over use of "you're welcome". I blame that stupid purple dinosaur - Barney wasn't it?

Those who sympathise with the loss of a child by comparing it to their son/daughter emigrating. Yeah, that's the same! Arrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhh!

People who expect you to repeat what you've said even when they've heard you perfectly well the first time.

    Over-priced car park fees.

GP's who consider that whatever your ailment it is because you are a few pounds overweight.

People who are embarrassed or intolerant of disability.

Lack of understanding with regard to mental health problems.

Families who do not understand the old adage that blood is thicker than water and would rather abandon you than try to work things out.

Uncompassionate people who work for professions that clearly need this, for example funeral home/cemetary staff.

Celebrities whose "after" weight loss diet consists of grilled chicken and a few nuts. Yeah, right!

Hairdressers who take no notice when you firmly ask them to not razor cut your fringe!

I've just realised how much I've written. I'm not going to apologise though, I'm just a grumpy-pants who is tippy-toeing on the abyss of pms!
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

(I tried to post this before but can't remember if it worked or not, often it doesn't...if I've already posted it, sorry!) One of my pet peeves is people who put 'xxx' at the end of their facebook statuses. I have someone on fb who does this after every status - who are you kissing?!?! does "oh look it's snowing" really need kisses on the end? or "pizza for dinner yumm" ...I don't get it!
