Glad you got the CEO on board.
If he 's a businessman rather than philantrophist could be a pay rise or promotion for you this year ;+)
If you want some advice on how to start selling you know where to come.
CT branding - my point was we are paying way to little rather than too much0 -
There's nothing wrong with it. Why don't you resell the same item on ebay for less?
He's a paying customer, if you don't want his custom, then refuse to sell to him. At he end of the day he making you money by buying your product in the first place.0 -
I am really curious to know what the product is, going to tell us?0

I know of a ebayer that makes a great extra income simply by selling cd's on ebay. He simply lists a few of the most popular artists each week then purchases via a well known online outlet who ship direct to his customers. He makes about £1.50 profit per order. Guess it's lazyiness and addition that people stay on ebay.0

Some long posts on this subject.
Firstly who is this seller actually ripping off, you, his customers, who.
Why are they buying from this seller rather than from your company in the first place, maybe you want to look at side of it.
Nothing morally wrong with what he is doing, he is purely acting as a middle man, nothing new in that.
What are your rights on your website, does it say anywhere that other people are not allowed to use your pictures or text, is it all copyrighted.
On point of VERO, maybe someone else could say more on this, but to me it looks like you can only use this facility if your company is trading on ebay, have not read anywhere that it includes sales outside of ebay.
But at end of the day if you dont want his business as you believe the seller is bringing your name down, then stop selling to this person, cancel his account.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -

I am perfectly happy to concede that people here disagree that this is morally wrong, but as I have said it saddens me that everyone was so quick to jump to this guy's defence on a site which I have always thought was supposed to be about protecting consumers from people perpetrating this kind of behaviour.
In terms of people not wanting to buy from our site, that is very much not the case - the brand is carried in many high street retailers, and we make plenty of on-line sales which is why I would rather lose the money than see this guy profiting from abusing our brand and our customers. Had he approached us I would have been more than willing to agree terms with him and then everyone would be happy!
It is all very well to say that people should do their own research, but how many people discovered the law about reclaiming bank charges on their own? Or council tax rebanding? Maybe I should have just posted a warning that people might be paying over the odds and left it at that, but I was hoping people on here would consider the consumer in all this rather that the rights of the seller - as you say, I was looking in the wrong place.
As far as I can see there is nothing wrong with buying a product and selling for a profit. Imagine if this guy didn't exist:
Scenario 1: The people who bought products from him buy from you instead. Your turnover remains exactly the same.
Scenario 2: The people didn't now about your company so don't buy your product. Company's turnover is lower.
If they had known about your company's products, they would have bought them directly from you as the price is lower. That suggests that they are unaware of your company. Therefore without this guy, your turnover would be lower.
As previously mentioned, the packaging should give the details of your company and so your potential customer base is increased.
This is surely a win win situation. Somebody please correct me if I've missed something glaringly obvious, but what is the OP's problem?????0 -

I would have to say that I agree with RadoJo here, looking at it from your point of view, am I right in saying that you are not annoyed at the fact someone else is selling your merchandise, but that they are selling it for more than you want your customers to be paying? And also the fact that basically your company is paying this guys 'wages'.
And re: selling tickets for much more than face value - I think that is shocking, and basically just greed. Another way of cheating innocent people. I thought ebay was supposed to have stopped the ticket touts doing that now?:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin:staradmin0 -
Isnt this guy effectively dropshipping ?
I thought there was a ebay 'rule' that stated you had to have the item you were selling in-hand.
There is a difference between buying, selling and making a profit and sitting on your bum and copying someone elses hard work (photo's etc) AND getting them to deliver the item. but then i dont get surprised by ebay anymore, it seems sometimes anything goes !

Stacey - you have hit the nail on the head! That is the nub of my position although I understand that many people on here are ebay sellers themselves and so may be more sympathetic than I was expecting. I just would rather we didn't make the sales than have people ripped off in our name, and that is pretty much the whole problem. Thanks for understanding my point of view, and I am glad that in amongst those who have interpreted my posts in such a negative way you are of the same mindset I am - I was beginning to wonder whether my moral compass was over-worked!!0
