These things don't last forever. Not sure if there are made the same as the ones they used at my work but they started to gradually disintergrate in the cistern. Had been there for a couple of years- had some sort of foam in them? We've got a newish old cistern (if that makes sense), and adjuated the max fill level on the ballcock manually to about 1/2 capacity.
:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:

anyone wanting a water-saving product within the Thameswater area, just call in and ask for one.

They are free and you can have a few at a time (london and southwest areas)

If you go to your local water provider and ask for a free water hog they will give you one, you whack it in your toilet tank and it then expands to save you a litre of water per flush

these are great my dad went yesterday and got 3 :j

I know this is really off the subject but i have been wondering for a long time if George Micheal is on the Vauxhaul advert with a man sliding down a hill to get infront of a car and say the words "nice car mate" who agrees?
  • Just looked and Yorkshire Water call theirs a "save-a-flush", you get a free calender too! Thanks Warren!

I got one of these last year off Yorkshire water. We have an old water toliet tank, so over the last year or so it must have saved quite a bit of water. Before use to use a old plastic water bottle filled up and plopped it in the tank.

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you
