    Hi all,

Love all the pics of hols/animals/food! I have promised myself I will post at least once a day from now on. By the time I catch up with you all it's time for bed or the baby wants feeding!!!

Just wanted to let you know my friend just rang to say she has got DTD on a Grobag, it was an OOD SEL saying Save £8. Scanned at £22.95 so £6.95 end cost which is not bad if anyone needs one. It is white background with red and other bright colours so would do for a boy or girl.

Is the 50p off Dettol coupon no longer available??? I have searched the coupon thread but can't find it?? :o

    Thanks, Nikki. :)

Funnily enough, my good lady reminds me of just that very thing every day.

Best part about it all is my senses are sharpening; I woke up the other morning and could actually literally smell the coffee. That felt so good.

My respiratory nurse (who is lovely) said it will be even better when I start to taste food properly again.

Moneysaving is great, I'm 13 or 14 weeks smoke free today(Can't remember how long it is because I'm counting in months now) And I can really tell the difference now, it used to cost m £50 a week:eek::eek::eek::eek:Your sense of smell really starts to come back quickly, I don't suffer from sinus anymore, don't get as many headaches and the best thing I can walk and talk at the same time;)I never used to be able to walk at any pace and chat because I'd get out of breath:eek:and I'm not a old crock really:)I really don't like the smell of smoke now, so much so that I wore a coat the other day that I'd had from when I smoked and it stucnk of smoke so I threw it away, not very mse but I just couldnt wear it. Be proud of yourself you're doing brilliantly:T:T:T one day at a time and trust me you'll soon get days were you don't even think about having a ciggie;)I actually forget sometimes that I used to smoke. I am your typical ex smoker that I swore I'd never be, DH still smokes but I make his life hell sometimes:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Hi all,

I am a newbie coming out of the shadows to say hello! I have been reading (lurking) this thread for a couple of weeks because I wanted to get the hang of things before posting - it took me ages to figure out what 'wombling' was!! I know I've still got lots to learn about good old Mr T's so forgive any silly/obvious questions I ask!

I am slightly worried because I already seem to be becoming a bit addicted to this thread and I am sooo amazed at some of your finds! Today I have had my first success.....a really shabby tatty old bag of the 1p Andrex woo!! :j When I told my OH he was a bit confused as to why I was so excited about it.....:o

Anyway I am looking forward to becoming even more obsessed with this thread...oh dear!!

Welcome to the most addictive thread ever:)

Have a lovely time. Whereabouts are you staying?

Hugs to all that need or want one.

Frustrating weekend. Laptop crashed so had to be restored, wiping everything out. I had everything backed up (W7 image copy) but when I tried to restore it, there was lots missing including work email. When I reinstalled my work email account, I got the whole 48K of them from the server but not one of any that I have sent out! (quotes, invoices, confirmations etc). When I tried to load mysupermarket this morning, nothing loads. Has anyone any ideas of anything that I can try/do? TIA.

Oh no, total nightmare,I've no idea how to get them back, but a few years back someone dropped a steel bar on to one of the work laptops(Don't ask) and I just had to take it to a computer place who charged the earth but managed to recover everything. Now we have a dropbox,(I'm not very technical) but everything gets sent to cyber space somehow, so if the computers literally blew up we could recover everything.

So I'm back to square 1 :( Think I'm gonna have meals of yoghurt, antibiotics and painkillers for another week and try and go back to work tomorrow as I feel really bad about taking time off... :( Loosing a few more kg won't hurt me anyway

It is important you try and have something inside you, it will make you feel a bit better and do your insides good. Can you eat porridge, or soup like the campbells chicken or mushroom, and put some cooked rice in it, or have something you can liquidise into a 'soup-like' slurry consistency. Main thing is to have it when it is cool - anything hot will set it off again. Antibiotics do work better with food.

Don't want to bring the thread down, just found out my younger brother has Hodgkin's Lymphoma, (Lymph cancer) he is only 30. Anyone have any experience with this?

:( Awww I'm so so sorry to hear of your sad news, for yourself, your brother and for all your family. Such a devastating blow. I'm ever so sorry I don't have any experience with this type of cancer but I'm hoping someone else will be able to provide you with a little advice and hopefully comfort. Thinking of you :Axxx

will you forgive me if I moan for one last time? :o

went to the 'dentist' if that's what he calls himself  he was probably younger then me and more scared then I was! paid 17 quid just for him to tell me what I already knew: I have an infection! anyway got a prescription for a different antibiotics(him and the pharmacist both confirmed the ones I got off the GP are rubbish and very mild! I'm off to see if I can complain or leave a review about the rubbish walk-in clinic and GP in Southall!) but I left there not knowing if I should take them instead or together or after I finished the ones I'm taking! had to ask the very nice pharmacist who also gave me some stronger ibuprofen to add to my collection... also he said I'm not able to have a canal root job off the NHS and can only have the tooth taken out when the infection is gone...
I'm not going back to him!

I got the kebabs Saturday and they scanned at £1.00.

There are some spicy chicken fillets in the same range and I am wondering if they scan at 1p now (they were £1.00).

I got them too, I got two of the £1.50 ones and two of the £1 ones. I got them because they were a good price and in the hope that the 2 for £5 that was on the box might have kicked in, but it didnt:(

At the risk of posting 3 times in a row  the barcodes for the £5 off £40 coupons are the same, I got 2 last week different stores and they are the same..ending in 5009 so maybe someone else can confirm theirs match too? Should be fine on a womble!

Isn't it crazy that someone who has earnt the £5 off voucher just throws it away in the car park? Still they should be safe in the knowledge that a crafty womble will be making good use of it!!:D:D:D

I forgot to say earlier that I did something nice yesterday too... had two 5gbp off coupons that I wasn't using so I gave one to some guys paing for their shop before me and another one to an eldery couple. They all thanked me and were happy about it and it felt good :)

Hia, google NHS dentistry charges (sorry dont know how to do the links) and see what is covered:

    Band 2 course of treatment – £47.00
This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth.

My understanding of this is that if you have a crown and it has had a root canal, it's such a big job to try and redo it, it's probably better to have it out. If, like me, you had an abscess in the front tooth, which had not had a root canal, i got this done on the NHS under band 2 treatment (this was 12 months ago).

I know you have had loads of painkillers, but have you tried cocodamol? I find this best for the tooth pain (and believe me I have had some toothpain). Also what antibiotic have you got? Did they do an x-ray for you and suggest that the tooth could be saved?

It totally peedles me off that you have to pay £17 to be told what you already know, at one time this was offset against the second stage visit (£17 off the £47), but now it is in addition to.

Thanks izzeyb, I'll probably take it out, won't be able to cope with another root canal work :( It's a back tooth anyway...

In terms of antibiotics I took Amoxicilin 500mg first, then got Erythromycin 250mg from the GP  and now I've got Metronidazole 400mg :o I hope that's the last one I will need...

Didn't try cocodamol... But a good mix of strong paracetamol & ibuprofen seem to work for a bit... :o took 3 capsules of Tramadol earlier and they didn't work! hopeless :(
