I do :) Clock up at least six miles a day whatever the weather. Best holiday I had was in the Lakes - just walked and walked...then stumbled across a pub :D

I guess it's better than walking into a pub and then stumbling 6 miles home .

Morning All , nice here , dry at least .

For al lyou excercise junkies and gurus , surely the cheapest way of excercise is to walk out the front door and keep on walking ,hopefully to somewhere nice , vary the inclines ,enjoy the scenery and take a few lungs of fresh air as well .

    Doesn't cost a great deal .
    Just a thought .

Depends on where you live tbh, as some places going for a walk means dodging dog mess on the pavements, inhaling lungfuls of skunk as you pass each street corner where the chavs hang out, watching out for loose staffies/rotties ready to rip you to bits

Not a good day yesterday. My little DGD whose is nearly 9 months old, had to go into hospital. She sounds like somebody who has smoked 50 a day for years. Had help with breathing during the night but both DD and DGD had an uncomfortable night. Hoping that she gets a bit better today. It's horrible when babies are poorly as they can't tell you what's wrong. Her breathing was so bad yesterday that she even stopped grizzling and just looked at you. You feel so helpless. icon9.gif

Hugs to you and your family. Hope little one is soon on the mend.

    hi
thought i would post how to make the most wonderful cake
this receipe was given to me by a bajan lady it was her grandmothers and has been passed down the family
I feel honoured she let me have it

Soak 500g mixed fruit for at least 6 months in stoute
added to this is mixed spice, nutmeg and cinnamon at least a tablespoon of each.
top up with enough rum to cover the fruit
    after 6 months
    blend fruit in blender

    600gr butter
    750 gr light brown sugar
    9 beaten eggs
    750gr sr flour
    1 table ground mixed spice
    1 teaspoon vannila extract
    slug of rum

    bake 180c
    gas 4
until done the same as any other cake
you need to line tin as for std xmas cake
store in tin and as long as you keep it moist with more rum or sherry
    it will keep for months

what i do is have a big bowl with fruit and just keep topping up
so i can make one as i please

what does it taste like? well i hate fruit cake but this is different
sort of like sticky toffee pudding but cold and without the toffee

people eat it with ice cream and partner sometimes has some with custard.

enjoy wish i could post photos but are busy at moment
