Oh qpr where abouts in america you going, we went to florida last sept was the best hol we have ever had. Been there 3 times now love all the theme parks and we are not big coaster fans, but there is so much else to do but with how much it costs we cant do it every year i hope you have a great time.:j
Orlando well kissimmee/davenport whenever I say Orlando people think I mean International Drive.
I went to a travel agent to pick their computer re flight times etc quoted 3500+ for me & my Mum flights, car hire & villa rental for a week !!.
I did it myself through Trailfinders (if thats not a contradiction) I told them exactly the flights etc I wanted it was 1693 could have got it cheaper if I'd really tried but it was all a bit rushed.
So we have a nice non stop flight getting in before it gets dark, 3 bed villa (for peace & quiet) private pool & jacuzzi & a medium sized 4 door car with free upgrade if I want it.
We may not do the parks this time walking is an issue or may do just one on mobility scooters (they must be better than the ones in Tesco) we are going to play it all by ear0 -

the feed in tariff changes on the 3rd march for solar panels.
i want solar panels.
i suppose i want my friends to talk sense of encourage me.
what scares me is the cost. i can afford them, but they are expensive.
i have read the solar forum on here, they seem to mostly argue over there:eek:
if i decide to get these i have to get them before the 3rd march.
E On, in partnership with someone else were doing solar panels for £99 but you had to agree to have them fitted for X amount of years, the company that fitted them received any subsidies and rather than the E On paying you for any surplus electric they paid the company that fitted them (the have to get the cost back somehow) I tried to get mum to sign up for them as she seems to use a heck of a lot of electric but with the house up for sale she didn't see the point. I think that promotion has ended now though.0 -

It wasn't enough though and it was about 3 months old. I still didn't have an onion or peppers though. I've put two whole bulbs of garlic in this spag bol.:j:j0 -
FK - do you need to change your phone or could you just go with a SIM only plan? I wanted to upgrade my Sony Ericsson x10 to the SE Arc but the costs were stupidly high. I went down to a SIM only plan that is costing me around £15/month. I can't remember what minutes/texts I get but I know I have 250MB of data which isn't a lot.
Personally I'm not an Apple fanboy/girl so I would recommend an Android based phone. There's so many out there that I've fallen behind in my knowledge. All I know is I just Android on 1 of my 2 HP Touchpads and I'm so chuffed. Android is much more customisable than an iPhone. You can have widgets (little visual applications) on your screen which Apple doesn't have plus there's so much can be done by modding an Android phone (though you need to be very techie to do it).0 -
Hi Folks , a busy weekend so far (sort of) . Watched some sports and mixed up a batch of Berry Christmas cake mix (folowing in the footsteps of HC after his superb display of baked items) .
Slightly overcooked but I must admit I like the burnt fruit and the nobbly bits of the top .
Just tried my 1st Lucozade 1p super shot , i won't be running round the block tonight .
Has anyone ever had any benefit from these ' energy ' drinks ?
Looking good 4p! I notice yours is flat on the top where as mine is dome shaped.
I need a new wooden spoon before I can do any more as I broke mine when I started creaming the butter and sugar together.0 -

Awww man czerzy!! Sorry to hear of your awful toothache!:( I'm so slow at catching up, my appologies to everyone that I've missed out on important news. So glad you're feeling a bit better and fingers crossed it stays away! Glad b/f has been looking after youAnd I completely agree about taking tablets, when you're in pain, sometimes it just has to be done.
evening gang!
Cream crackered tonight spent whole day cooking and baking with the kids, we ate so much while cooking no one has touched the end product( ok maybe I've had a few slices:D)
No T's for 5 days and counting
Am getting withdrawal now though:(
My wedding anniversary today 12 years OH stretched to a couple of bunches of flowers, don't know why I can't be bothered to go out , he did offer albeit lamely, I must be getting old:mad:
Right now to catch up :A
Evening celebrate, sounds like the perfect Saturday to me :T Baking is only fun when you get to lick the bowl! I bet the kids loved it
Oh and I'm 24 and I don't want to go out either!:o:p:rotfl:EDIT: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY celebrate :beer:The reason we are going to America is, with my permanent other gammy leg its so much easier getting around always places to park right up to the door, American version of blue badge sorted out via e-mail, fantastic service (thanks to the mse on here who told me about it)there is no language problem, & although a long way away any problem that can't be sorted out with the accomodation (there won't be) so easy to just jump in the car & check into a hotel.
Very true QPR10, if either of us felt confident about driving over there, I would definitely look into it more, even with the cost of the health insurance. Neither of us have driven abroad and we definitely wouldn't want to drive an automatic! eeek! That's great about the blue badge though, thank you, if we do end up going in the future, that's extremely useful info :T'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -
Off topic question (what is the topic anyway?) (sorry that wasn't the off topic question, its coming now honest:o)
How can I get 2 excel spreadsheets to show on my laptop at the same time? When I open 2 I have to toggle (is that the right word?) between them but I want to see them side by side. Anybody?
TIA
If you are on Windows 7 then simply open up 1 spreadsheet and hold the windows key and right arrow and then open up the second one and windows key and left arrow. This applies to any windows that you need side by side0 -
