Would love to be in the land of 'down under'....great climate and great people..:D

my unbiased opinion would be to agree with you ;) .

I must admit I like some of the Australian attitude towards life and other things , they seem to have a laid back approach to most things .

thanks for your kind wishes about kids and to everyone who gave me virtual hugs and kind words.....well wonders never cease but ex has amazed me by having insurance!!!!! 21 years of marriage and he never did! emergency passport took 4hours so they are currently in a travelodge in heathrow and taking a flight early tomorrow. Kids are a bit upset by the whole theft thing but hopefully their short break will be enjoyable and they will forget the horrible start. thanks elite members - I sometimes wonder what I would do if I didnt have you lot to whine to!

still catching up so not sure if anyone else has mentioned....We've been to Zante a few times...that is lovely...but steer clear of Corfu..it was rife with mosquitoes when we went and I got eaten alive...and I never get bitten....oh and I tripped down an open drain there too which left me with large scars down my left thigh...fortunately my large backside prevented me going fully in...but if I'd been a size 6 it would've been worse :rotfl:

Ok, I have a random phone related question for you lovely Elite ;):D

I got the Samsung Galaxy S2 about 3 weeks ago, and whenever I call anyone they keep telling me it's a really bad line and they can hear themselves and it echos. So called Vodafone about it this morning and the guy said he could hear it too and that as I have an old sim card, I should get a new one so I've to pop into the shop and they'll give me another one free of charge.

Is that right, can an old sim card really effect call quality? Sounds rather random to me! Will give it a shot, but I'm now thinking was he just trying to get me off the phone :rotfl:

The sim card is really old, I've had the same number and sim for nearly 10 years!
Hope no-one has answered this. Yes it is possible. My OH works for a phone company and it does happen, he says old sim cards in new phones are the worse. Voda may be able to swap the numbers etc if on sim but you may want to back it up to the phone just in case.

I wanted to individually reply to so many people but I forgot by the time I hit the reply button :o
So in general well done to anyone with finds, get well soon to ill people or those having a pants day, calm spirit (remember this one) so glad the kids are getting to go away :) Also congrats to Celebrate.

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

Sorry I dont know much about solar panels
But my sis had them fitted last year and is really happy with them
I thought the tariff changed Dec just gone??
My brothers all rushed and had theirs done, got them a few grand cheaper than my sis

My OH refused to have them done says price will drop even further and to be patient and wait?!

I wasn't keen on having them done because no idea where I would have had to move all my T's stashes for the workmen to physically get into my garage !!!:D:rotfl:
it did change, but this change was challenged in court as the goverment brought the dec date forward from april, without the proper notce. so its now march. the way solar panels pay is the feed in tariff. it that goes down then they arent worth having.
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

    Hi
That's true but my OH's argument is if the cost of fitting them went down by £2-3000 in only a 3-4 month period it woul be more cost effective to wait and get them fitted cheaply would be a better saving

Think my sis worked out that she would make a profit of £700ish pr yr
Would take them 12 years to get their money back!!!!!
