  • On the subject of giving address at CS, I know when I've returned/exchanged something or had DTD, they always ask for my name and postcode. I guess this is common practice? I did have one ask me for my full address and phone number  I was like erm don't think so! I know they will have it with the CC anyways, but I wasn't putting all that down there for them, there is no need for that.

I have been asked for it a few times but only in one particular store (Trout city) I always shove down 1 high street Birmingham B1 1BB :)

    :)

Nice to be back at home. But it was lovely to visit my Dad ♥ He was 'released' yesterday & we were sent home :rotfl:

Made my own way to the hospital & arrived early, fortunately next door was a Mr T's :o so spent an hour going up & down the aisles.
Got the 1p Lucozade thingies, loads there, got the Lindor balls but they went through till at £2 (no scanner) so suddenly realised they were balls & not eggs & asked SA to cancel them :o:D

Miss Laid, a big thank you to you!

I just put your tip to good use. I have made a sweet short crust pastry with rock hard butter using your grating it tip!
I didn't have to warm it up first so it was really quick to rustle up.

Got an apple pie in the oven and a coq au vin in the slow cooker.

    :)

Another quick update from me without reading the 12 or so pages from yesterday's post. :D

Bought another two British Beef Any 2 for £6 (diced and mince meat) ... offer didn't kick in charged £7.48 ... so got £2.96 back DTD ... so £4.52. Did this twice yesterday in my local and an extra.

Extra gave DTD no problems ... local said it was an OOD. NB offer works for 2 x mince, 2 x diced but not 1 of each (Prob. cos diced = £4 and mince £3.48).

Anyway ... just about to put stew on before I pop out again ... and half of one lot of the diced beef is quite dark (I'll see if I can photo it). I'm thinking of taking it back ... what's the policy?

Hi everyone, I'm finally back on line ok just typical that as my internet was working ok forum went down.

Anyway big thanks to Debsjc :A for posting my tea/coffee finds other day. I tried for couple of hours to do it myself and had to admit defeat in the end. 2 days without properly working internet seems a very long time.

I took time to catch up late last night but was too tired to say

Happy Birthday to the birthdays I missed.

So glad Bensonsmum is back on the road. :T

Was pleased to hear Mr 3dogs op has gone ok and sending him a "Get Better Soon" ;)

Big hugs to everyone who is feeling poorly. :)

And well done Nikki on resisting the temptation of the thread, I hope the injection has made a difference.

I went to my other extra last night and some of the tea/coffee bargains were the same, others not??

I think the £8 odd SEL for Nescafe gold blend must have been the big tins as the space was next to the other tins and was reduced from £16.xx.

I spotted the Ts own Fairtrade 80s for 91p in both stores. And SELs for Typhoo 240 bags around £2.64 (should have written price down :o) but no stock.

A fairtrade hot chocolate for £1.14, Ovaltine white around that too, both were half original price.

There were lots of flavoured/green tea reductions but they were different in each store.

And finally has anyone had any luck finding the Twinings Intense for £1.89 BOGOF, only stocked in one of mine but there was only 1 bag left so could not try it out. :( Not sure if 2 offers were overlapping on wednesday as notice it is showing not available online and the Mellow variety is showing £3.69 BOGOF. Which is still a good price. ;)

Nearly forgot none of the Finest Turkey that I could see at TP last night for any of my local MSEers.

    Happy hunting everyone. :D

  • well I might have a bit of good news, I've been sent a provisional offer for a housing association house. Am just out to scout it out and then have to phone them to let them know if I'm interested in it. If it's the one I think it is (just used google street to look at it and the one oposite) I'll def be interested.
Do you think it would be a bit cheeky to ask the tenant, if they're outside, could I have a wee nosey ;)

Hope this works out for you, you could do with some good news. I would keep plugging away at the school. Have you been involved in the IEP meeting at school for your son? If he has been included with the SEN group he should have one in place which will outline what the school is going to do to support him and help him to achieve his targets.
    Fingers crossed about the house
