Omg what's up with CS? I got a similar accusation recently, except they said I'd put sel there!!! Old trout then said she's warned me before when I've never even been served by her - the bare-faced cheek of it. Seems nothing's out of bounds when they're trying to avoid admitting their own neglicence, even lies!. Shocking behaviour
I did this, manager refused repeatedly and accused ME of fraud. This with absolutely no evidence . Waiting on Uncle Phil's response to my email now...
What kind of business are they running when a branch can override HO personnel?
Talk about the lunatics taking over the asylum...

You think that’s bad!! One of my stores accused me of theft
I bought 1 packet of lindt balls for 1p and then put through the rest of my shopping separately. The security guard marched up to me and the conversation went a bit like this:

SG ‘you didn’t pay for those maltesers’ (er I think you mean lindt balls!!)
    Me ‘yes I did’
SG ‘you didn’t, I didn’t see you pay’
Me ‘well I have a receipt’
    * I hand him my receipt and he looks at it, mutters ‘lindt’ then hands it back*
SG ‘actually can I see that again’
*I hand him receipt back and he mutters ‘1p, that’s a good price’ at which point I ask him for the receipt back and practically have to prise it from his hands*
Me ‘are you going to apologise‘
    SG ‘No‘ and walks off.
I was livid  to say the least and part of the shop I was trying to put through the SS whilst I was being accused, included 2 Bob construction towers.
I left the store, regained my composure and went back in for my dtd and to obtain name of said security guard so that I could ring HO and complain.
Well then it just went from bad to worse :(. Was refused dtd as on SS. I said that I had previously been given dtd sometime ago on SS at that store, so knew this wasn’t the case.
Cue me taking managers name and calling HO the next day, who contacted the store, spoke with another manager and told me to go back to the store where my dtd would be waiting for me :) and also agreed to report security guard to his manager.

Well went back to the store the following day, again refused dtd. Manager said it was not policy, it was managers discretion and he could take down the board whenever he wanted. Also that HO was not HO, just a call centre :mad:
Cue him calling HO and finally agreeing to dtd.
Whilst waiting for cs sa to action dtd, manager gets called over by security manager, who is currently in talks with said security guard.
Cue her arrival at cs desk with manager to advise me that the security guard in question had not actually accused me of theft and had just asked for my receipt (to which I quickly corrected her) and she didn’t know how I’d managed to get the Lindt eggs to scan at 1p , as she had scanned them herself and they were not this price (:eek:like I have some special powers of SS tills). I corrected her and said they were Christmas balls not eggs :D.
She then decided that as I had, had a dtd before and therefore knew the policy existed (:eek:even though it’s on their board) that I could not have dtd.
I told her that this was some 6 months ago and the only reason I knew of the policies existence, was because the cs sa had explained it to me whilst giving me the dtd refund and I had come back to the store as told to by HO after they had spoken with another manager, and now they were changing their mind again
They finally agreed to give me the dtd, but said that I would never get it again and then they sneakily  took my club card number from my receipt.
My response ‘That’s fine, I don’t expect to be overcharged, so I don’t expect it to be a problem’ :p

They made me so angry :mad:

Its a 12 piece dinner set..
The ones I bought were the Black pepper.. From what someone on here reported that the teal goes through at the right price..

SEL says £42.50 but they go through at £85.....

I paid £170, and got £170 back for them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Bensonsmum - Sorry to hear about all the troubles with your car sad0046.gif, but glad you’ve got is all sorted out now. My OH runs a garage and said that the costs for this could be anything up to about £400, so it probably doesn’t feel like it now, but you did quite well at only £200 to get it fixed.

What has happened to you and your son is awful, but it sounds like it has made you both much stronger and happier people and I’m sure many would benefit from reading your story and seeing that you can make it through it all.

I hope your steroid injection has worked for you and you have been behaving yourself :naughty:, so that you can be back with us soon.
Spirallingdown, Your cousins child, sounds horrible . I think if it were me and he had to come to my house, I would make it very clear to his mother that whilst under my roof, I would discipline him like I would my own child and if she didn’t like that, then he couldn’t come to my house anymore, as it would not be fair for your DS to be treated differently than his cousin.
Debsjc - I hope your burnt wrist is ok and you didn’t hurt yourself falling over in the snow, :grouphug: to you.
Purdita - What wonderful news about your pension payment :j. I hope you use some of the money to treat yourself to something nice.
MMW - Thanks for getting back to me about the phones. Unfortunately I’ve been curled up with a cold since saturday sick0026.gif, so haven’t managed to get over there for a while, but I do love the staff in that store, they are all so friendly and helpful, just a shame there‘s no working scanner :(.
I don’t know if you’ve been to Blackpool before, but I go quite regularly as OH’s dad lives there. It’s not for everyone, but I like the tackiness of the seaside and the amusements and stuff. It’s a great town really and people are so friendly. Just think of it a bit like Hastings on a bigger scale. Oh and don’t forget your club card rewards if you plan on going to the Pleasure beach. You can’t spectate for free anymore and now have to pay for a pass whether your going on the rides or not .

and Im very well too thank you!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Still catching up on today's posts, but just popped on to say I found a bargain earlier on my trip to Mr T.

Tesco Decaf Coffee 100g reduced to 88p (with a * so must be discontinued)

    http://img.tesco.com/Groceries/pi/066/5018374767066/IDShot_225x225.jpg

It's still showing as £1.79 online for me so probably won't be all stores but a bargain if you can find it. :D

Saw a lovely warm jacket which took my shop over the £60 to get the two vouchers. Shame my daughter doesn't like it, it will have to go back tomorrow :rotfl::rotfl:

Out singing tonight so will have to catch up with you all tomorrow.
