    Save for later

Just to add - if anyone uses the £5 off a £25 spend with the dine in offer at M&S, remember that they take the £5 off the PRE-DISCOUNT price...

so today I splurged and got:
whole chicken (biggest I could find) 5.87
    petulant white wine 6.99
    apple crumble 1.99
    rosti potatoes 1.69

totalling £16.56 and then added other bits that I knew we would use (cheese, whoopsied bagels) and got the total to £25.67 (all right, could have been a bit closer to £25, but this was good enough)

and it took off the £5 and then the meal deal of £6.56 - leaving a total to pay of £14.11

    and most importantly of
    the night-

    Well done Dr. K!

Boots B X - tried the 2 Ricola and 1 shot combi on ss till = 55p, great I thought :j, shall get some more. Picked up 5 x 3 (15) Ricola and 5 shots........wrong :doh::doh:went to ss till and was way over what I was expecting (5 x 55p). Asked sa to cancel as I had expected it to be cheaper :o - which she did (was not happy with me) and said in future I should use the manned tills and rushed away with my basket. I had by that time figured out why it was so expensive - should have taken 5 x 2 (10) Ricola and 5 shots. Went and loaded up another basket with the above - expecting to pay £2.75 and it came to £11.?? or £15?? was too shocked to register the price as it was still too much. Has anyone tried doing more than 2 Ricola and 1 shot in a transaction? Sa had the right hump with me when I asked her to cancel again.:o

it's only one shot per transaction, so only but 2 vits/ricola and 1 shot at a time!:D

Dr John Sarno, The Mindbody Prescription

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mind-Body-Prescription-John-Sarno/dp/0446675156/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1327612095&sr=8-2

Quite literally life changing for me:

Then: persistent RSI in both hands and arms, in constant pain and signed off sick indefinitely, totally unable to use computer

Now: pain free for 5 years, on the computer about 4 hrs a day typing etc

I got my life back thanks to that book :j

I was going to get this last time you said it, tomorrow I'm going to order it definately:T:T

Hi Tweets thanks that was me! After all the kind suggestions on here I realised that the toilet cistern(built in) was leaking into the toilet so I took off a tile:eek: to see and it was constantly running even after it filled up:(

I'm no expert so it took me a few days and a lot of Google searches to find that if I turn the screw in the cistern it will turn off the cistern water supply.I have to explain that there's no access to the cistern it was completely blocked in behind the tiles so getting to it through 1 tile hole was difficult in itself. I have big tiles from floor to ceiling so didnt want to take any off unnecessarily.

The problem that's causing the constant running isn't fixed because I can't see/reach and can't afford a builder...BUT the water is no longer running, having to flush with a bucket lol but it works!!!

I can confirm that was what caused the bill because I checked the meter after I turned it off and it had stopped. On the down side, I am liable for the bill:(:(:( as it was in the house:(:(:( but they can spread it over 1 year.

Makes me want to cry really with the waste and cost for nothing, I had no idea there was a problem.

Forgot to post this earlier as it's quite long and boring really but I do want to say thanks to all who advised me because it helped me find what was going on before the Inspector told me!:T:T:T
just read its still not solved, a new water inlet valve is only £7-£18
easy job. anyone can do it. just ask a few handymen. if you can make access to cystern easier for him it would cost less. i changed one for a friend and only charged him for part fitted. he also got me a couple of drinks.

Back....was inspired by Cupcake Wars so I did get my pinny and chefs hat on and this is what I made. Hope you like them :)

    IMGP8746Small.jpg

Made with our own fresh hen's eggs and homemade butter :D

Chocolate and nut cupcake filled with peanut butter and topped with peanut butter and chocolate buttercream frosting.

Vanilla sponge topped with strawberry jam and buttercream frosting.

Vanilla sponge with strawberries, blueberries and oats topped with brown sugar then vanilla & choc buttercream and a strawberry & blueberry garnish, dusted with icing sugar.

Malted cupcake (made with horlicks ;) ) topped with malted buttercream frosting.

Lemon cupcake made with fresh lemon juice topped with vanilla buttercream frosting and lemon zest.

And finally rocky road cupcake; chocolate sponge with marshmallow, broken biscuit pieces and chocolate chunks, topped with chocolate buttercream frosting, a melted marshmallow centre and a broken biscuit piece.

    :D
