Hi Tweets thanks that was me! After all the kind suggestions on here I realised that the toilet cistern(built in) was leaking into the toilet so I took off a tile:eek: to see and it was constantly running even after it filled up:(
I'm no expert so it took me a few days and a lot of Google searches to find that if I turn the screw in the cistern it will turn off the cistern water supply.I have to explain that there's no access to the cistern it was completely blocked in behind the tiles so getting to it through 1 tile hole was difficult in itself. I have big tiles from floor to ceiling so didnt want to take any off unnecessarily.
The problem that's causing the constant running isn't fixed because I can't see/reach and can't afford a builder...BUT the water is no longer running, having to flush with a bucket lol but it works!!!
I can confirm that was what caused the bill because I checked the meter after I turned it off and it had stopped. On the down side, I am liable for the bill:(:(:( as it was in the house:(:(:( but they can spread it over 1 year.
Makes me want to cry really with the waste and cost for nothing, I had no idea there was a problem.
Forgot to post this earlier as it's quite long and boring really but I do want to say thanks to all who advised me because it helped me find what was going on before the Inspector told me!:T:T:T
I had exact same problem and it turned out to be a simple rubber washer in the cistern that needed replacing. Hopefully yours will be as easy to fix.0 -

Boots B X - tried the 2 Ricola and 1 shot combi on ss till = 55p, great I thought :j, shall get some more. Picked up 5 x 3 (15) Ricola and 5 shots........wrong :doh::doh:went to ss till and was way over what I was expecting (5 x 55p). Asked sa to cancel as I had expected it to be cheaper
- which she did (was not happy with me) and said in future I should use the manned tills and rushed away with my basket. I had by that time figured out why it was so expensive - should have taken 5 x 2 (10) Ricola and 5 shots. Went and loaded up another basket with the above - expecting to pay £2.75 and it came to £11.?? or £15?? was too shocked to register the price as it was still too much. Has anyone tried doing more than 2 Ricola and 1 shot in a transaction? Sa had the right hump with me when I asked her to cancel again.:o
Did get a Clinique mascara :T
