Right, I'm off to T's to get the bits and pieces for my Mary Berry Christmas cakes. Going to make a couple up, keep them boozy and give one to my friend for his birthday in June. Going to see if I can keep the other one boozy until Christmas.

I've got 5 cakes though, far too many, if anyone local wants a cake or two give me a shout.
i have ummmm "several" mary berry kits left. 1 is being used as a door stop :(. i am not sure what happened to the original door stop, but it disappeared over xmas and hasnt been seen since.

Could he not contact a solicitor? I think you get a free 1/2 hour. He should keep a diary of events too. Contemperanious notes always hold a lot of stead in a court should it come to thAt.

If you go to court and say she said this or did this it is often seen as tittle tat. But if you keep a diary then it counts a lot more. Include eveything thats going on, dates and time she leaves, if she takes kids, what the circumstances were etc as well as a list of financial contributions made by your friend.

he is one! but it's like me being blase when my kids are sick?? you think you can deal with it. He has dug some v big holes for himself but it has all been to give her what she wanted and to try and salvage the marraige, i think people just give up too easy on marraige these days and everyone shoot me down but it is too easy for women to leave, in the old days when women couldn't leave (either through cultural or financial reasons) couples made an attempt to work at their problems and learn to get along, no-one has a fantastic relationship 24hrs a day, we all have habits we don't like in our OH's. I just think society has risen our expectations so much of having these perfect materialistic lives with money, holidays, cars not to mention having the perfect looks and clothes etc and it leads to so much unhappiness because that's not where real happiness comes from. It's about tolerance and selflessness and patience.:A

Someone remind me of that when I'm having a rant about my OH and yes we are back together:rotfl:

Can anybody supply me with more details on the cupcake napkins please. I found some on a clipstrip yesterday, small square ones with a cupcake on them but they scanned at £1. TIA

Pink with pics of cupcakes on them BC ending 6049, my ones say 2010 on the bottom so could be old stock only.

    HTH:)

I know when i split up from my first hubby i was in the house but he refused to pay the morgage, went to see a solicitor who told me i could stay in the house till ds was 16 but if hubby wasnt paying the morgage it would get repossed. Or i could carry on paying the morgage but he would be able to claim half when i did sell it, so i would struggle to pay and he would benifit so we just sold the house and split it there and then but that was 11 years ago dont know if it has changed since.
