Hey kadison, I can't remember if I said thank you to you for your well wishes regarding my Grandfather! I did read your post, so thank you :D and appologies for the delay!

Brill piccies! I love Woolacombe too. Sounds like a great campsite, I judge a site by it's toilet and shower blocks too:) Very very important!! Been to a couple with underfloor heating, it's pure luxury, especially if you've decided to brave it in the winter. I went to a site at Lee Valley in London and their shower block was amazing but there was talks about closing the site down :( Was so convenient for London too!

You are welcome (though I can't remember for the life of me what I said! :o)

We always holidayed out of school hols so we're talking the colder end of september, a nicely heated loo block was a necessity but rarely found, this one was wonderful!!

Sorry to post this amongst the other things currently going on but Haven's offers end soon, has anyone been to either Golden Sands or Thorpe Park holiday parks in Lincolnshire?

Need to decide which one to book........

Hi there - we've been lots of times to both parks and enjoyed them everytime .
I think my kids (8 & 11yrs) slighty prefer golden sands ,as they say its a little 'busier' (club bigger) but we also like to go to thorpe park for weekends as its a bit nearer to us and enough to do for the couple of days .
Thorpe park has direct beach access , Golden sands short distance , across the road ,over some dunes though or rocky path (maybe not as good for prams or wheelchair users) Both lovely beaches though - HTH

    Thanks,
Actually nowadays it is illegal to sell machines unless you are licensed by the gambling commission, but parts are not (and I should know the law as have been an engineer for near on 20 years - but try telling that to ebay :mad::mad:)
BTW what machine was it? - as some late 80's machines go for quite high prices

Hi dcon-blue ,many thanks ..I think both posts were removed (which is fair in case I did quote the original (unsure) and no biggie) and I guess with it's removal and our (the elite 11+) further enquiries into what happened to it has again brought to posters attention that we don't want similar incidents happening again .

Holiday time , case closed .

your post quoted the post with the swear filter avoiding asterisks in so that would be why it was removed.

  • I never went in SJ regularly, I drank at the Railway in town, played for the darts team there.
Think the Railway's name has been changed several times since you were here.

I am now a mid forties family man with a couple of young kids so I don't get out much these days. 10 years ago I could have told you the names of all the pubs in Crawley, the fact that I'd been in them all and how much a beer costs in each of them. Now, I don't even know how much a pint costs!!

However, now I can always tell you which supermarket has the best beer offer on and how much it costs per litre!!

I thought the poster said it was a lad.........

Whichever, such a terrible thing for someone to think they had no alternative but to attempt suicide, and to succeed even worse :(

Sadly there are two, the girl was somewhere in England, the boy the friend of the posters DD was in Scotland.
