Hiya :) Haven't been on today, spent much of the day in bed with an awful migraine feeling terribly sick eughhh!! Hope I haven't missed much? Just watching Dancing on Ice, not very keen on the duel thing! Hope everyone's well and had a lovely Sunday :) xx

Hope you feel better soon Fudge_Cake - I get them too :(

Try to eat something bland and drink as much water as you are able to. I find Propain are good for mine - just wish I knew how to avoid them!

Evening all !! Glad to see a couple of us got the DTD on the LAZER CHASE CAR that i posted yesterday.
Just to confirm for a couple of people who asked earlier , the SELS in both stores were normal white SELS with a larger one in one of the stores saying 'PRICE DROP' (i think !) the higher price wasnt mentioned anywhere , i just remembered seeing them at the higher price around xmas ,so thought id scan them on the off chance !
SEL £19.50 scanning at £39.97 - barcode ends in 123 -HTH

I went looking for one of these last night in risc@ but they didnt have any :( My DS2 had one for christmas i got it from Home Bargain for £8.99 and absolutely loves it!! and its really fast, i want one now for my DS1 as its his birthday in april and he loves his brothers so much :D

I used to buy Migraleve pinks and yellows until I was advised that they only have the same stuff as co codamol (and a bit of anti sickness bucclazine in the pink ones)
If you can tolerate them, 3 aspirin taken at the beginning of an attack, was always the most advised treatment for years and is making a comeback!
The pharmacist at Sainsbury's once advised me to spend 20p to try them rather than a small fortune on all the other stuff I used to buy.
If I feel one coming on and catch it early enough, they have worked for me. (But if I wake with a migraine, there is nothing that will shift it)

Also though, overuse of pain relief will actually cause migraines....it's a bit of a catch 22!!

My GP told me that anything more than 1-2 attacks a month is classed as recurrent and qualifies for preventative treatment rather than pain relief.
Some weeks I was getting them nearly every day!
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
  • :hello:I'm still here! I was going to catch up but too many other things in the 'real world' have been acquiring my attention, dog bathing, clothes washing and suchlike...fun fun!

Thank you to everyone that's posted messages of help and well wishes for me :) Very much appreciated :Axx

I'm off now to watch a film and unwind! Night night all :Axx

I suppose it's like the "like" button on a certain other site, and because we share so much good stuff with each other too as a sign of gratitude!

Oh and sometimes it helps us keep up with where we are too, the thread moves so fast!!!
