Evening guys - I am catching up but still have 400 posts to read so am posting and will then very easily fall asleep
The train journey up to Newcastle was fine but I definitely prefer First ClassStandard is so cramped after a year of travelling First class
Anyway, went down to see Mam at the home 4.30 to 6.30 pm. She was a little unsettled when I got there, with her sheet all in a bundle in her hands and she didn't want me to straighten it, but did let me in the end. As I was taking my coat off, she said 'Ahh, how did you find me? How did you know I was here?' I told her that my brother had told me, which seemed to an adequate reply for her and she started to smile, and then giggle. She ate all her dinner and a shape dessert, then had a couple of dunked biscuit with a cup of tea, which she managed to drink holding the cup by herselfWinter Wipe-out was on the telly and she was laughing at them falling in the water, and kept asking 'are those men or woman jumping in the water, they look like they are trying to walk on water'. She thoroughly enjoyed it so I stayed until it finished and she was ok when I left, so it was a good visit. Mam is 92, has alzhiemers, and has been in the End of Life Unit in this home for 14 months so she isn't doing so bad
Absolutely shattered though as got no sleep last night and then the travelling and all, so just sat watching Poirot with brother after dinner and just now dragged myself up to bed, and having a little look around MSe for a while. Will be asleep pretty soon though and will catch up tomorrowMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

this is the stray we took in a while back (after a monumental 6 month struggle to get him indoors) and when we did he wouldn't go up on any furniture or chairs , stayed firmly footed to the floor .
I'd say he was settled now ...and no wonder our little nick nacks keep on getting broke .
Can't you blu tack or something stronger your nick naks to the windowsill like they do in Harvesters0 -

I got the Brazilian keratin therapy 30 day smoothing treatment which is £12.99 but going through at £8 for 2:T:T but just read the reviews about it and a bit scared to do it now:eek::eek::eek:
I would take it back for a refund, was looking forward to getting it myself but after reading the amazon reveiws I'm not going anywhere near it as I have highlighted hair and loads of people saying it turns it orange:eek: might be ok if your hairs not got any bleach/colour in but I wouldn't take the risk[/QUOTE]
That'll make Nikkilala easy to spot Orange Hair :rotfl: Don't risk it Nikki take it back, your hair is such a nice colour, you have a good hairdresser0 -

Been to A's, T's and M's tonight (all local)
A's I bought nothing
T's I scanned the lindor eggs and like FK said and as I also suspected, it must be the balls that are 1p as the eggs (stickered and unstickered) scan at £2.50!!! I bought one of the eat, live, enjoy meals?? Something like that anyway! Whoopsied to 60p, used the £1 coupon in the T's mag so 40p off my chewing gum
M's almost 4kg white potatoes whoopsied to 80p and 7 pears whoopsied to 55p. Could have bought some rotisserie chicken very cheap but I've had a huge joint of finest topside beed defrosting for Sunday roast so thought I'd best not. Couldn't get any other veg whoopsied so had to resort to full price!!!:eek::eek::mad::mad::mad: 1st time in months!! So a white cabbage for 54p and a couple of loose carrots.
Total spend today then of £2.97
I decided to freeze about 10 pints of the milk I bought whoopsied the other day as I had a tidy up of the freezer and made a nice bit of room :TWhile I was at it I organised all the fresh meat in date order, newest at the bottom so we can start using up the odd bits and pieces that always get left!! While I was at it I made an inventory and priced it all upJust to give myself a bit of a boost! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
£187.54 worth of fresh meat (inc joints, chickens, a turkey, steaks, chicken breasts, finest burgers and sausages, bacon, minced lamb etc etc) for £8.16!!!!! The last 2 weeks of shopping for 4 adults have been £9.60 and £7.96 respectively:j
that is absolutely fantastic! I would love to see in your freezer sounds like a good few meals in there. mine is pretty impressive too i have 2 freezers filled to the brim, i have to take woopsies out there packaging to get them into the freezer. hubby keeps saying lets use up the stuff in the freezer before you buy anymore! lol but i just can't. we have never ever had so much me meat in our lifes. Its proper "grub". i think when you have plenty meat we tend to eat much more fresh veg too, the whole meet potatoes 2 veg kicks in. we used to eat more pizzas kievs and stuff but now i just look at that as junk. When you look at what you can save, you just think "i'm never going back to full prices" mind you there is always 'run ins' with falk at our extra its always the same people (including me) waiting on the bargains. some people go every night.
Enjoy your bargain dinners xxxxxxlost 9 stone since Feb 2011
