My O/H eats a lot of meat hence the 2 joints a week I'm a massive veg eater the Asian place I got to I get 3 icebergs/3cues/2caulis/3melons/3pineapples/8 bananas/4 kilos onions, all for £1 each
5 pots natural yogurt 500mls for £1 and the spices are really cheap I can get 400gms for less than 1 schwartz jar in T's, I am a cook from scratch person and unless heavily whoopsied would not entertain "ready meals"
Blimey. Thats cheap!!! Lucky you.
I'm like you and prefer to cook from scratch......In fact I've just this sec put a piece of whoopsied beef (£1.28 from £12) in the slow cooker for tomorrows sunday roast!
I do buy the currys or chinese meals when they are cheap though as OH sometimes takes them to work instead of sandwiches for his lunch. My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

Thanks Lovelies for being here for me & my Dad ♥
Dad is now in hospital awaiting to be seen. The Dr who came to the house suspects he has a fractured pelvis. Paramedics had to give him laughing gas to get him on the stretcher to get him out of house as he can't sit up.
Anyway I did interfere & rang their best friends & they have been superb, wanting to help Mum :T offering lifts, staying with her etc etc ♥Our Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Evening all
Been to A's, T's and M's tonight (all local)
A's I bought nothing
T's I scanned the lindor eggs and like FK said and as I also suspected, it must be the balls that are 1p as the eggs (stickered and unstickered) scan at £2.50!!! I bought one of the eat, live, enjoy meals?? Something like that anyway! Whoopsied to 60p, used the £1 coupon in the T's mag so 40p off my chewing gum
M's almost 4kg white potatoes whoopsied to 80p and 7 pears whoopsied to 55p. Could have bought some rotisserie chicken very cheap but I've had a huge joint of finest topside beed defrosting for Sunday roast so thought I'd best not. Couldn't get any other veg whoopsied so had to resort to full price!!!:eek::eek::mad::mad::mad: 1st time in months!! So a white cabbage for 54p and a couple of loose carrots.
Total spend today then of £2.97
I decided to freeze about 10 pints of the milk I bought whoopsied the other day as I had a tidy up of the freezer and made a nice bit of room :TWhile I was at it I organised all the fresh meat in date order, newest at the bottom so we can start using up the odd bits and pieces that always get left!! I also made an inventory and priced it all up
Just to give myself a bit of a boost! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
£187.54 worth of fresh meat (inc joints, chickens, a turkey, steaks, chicken breasts, finest burgers and sausages, bacon, minced lamb etc etc) for £8.16!!!!! The last 2 weeks of shopping for 4 adults have been £9.60 and £7.96 respectively

i know there is someone on here who decorates for a living...quick question...why does my paint look like it has curdled?
Brought 2 pots in from the garage to paint dds bedroom and the big pot of b&q trade emulsion is a solid lump with a few inches of clear gloop on top. the 5l tin of mixed emulsion - dulux mixed from b&q looked similar to the white but i managed to stir it slightly to create a curdled looking mixture. is it ruined by the cold?
Is the curdled paint non drip? You're not really supposed to stir it cos it goes all lumpy. It still works ok though (ask me how I know
).
It's only a game

Awww bless :A So glad he's in hospital now, the best place for him and hopefully they'll be keeping him dosed up to numb the pain. Fantastic news about the friends, atleast that's a little weight lifted from your shoulders and you can hopefully have a more peaceful night's sleep :)Will be thinking of you :Axxx'There are people who have money and people who are rich' :heart2: Coco Chanel0 -

hope your dad is ok snap-ant.
just back from T's it seems the lindt chocs are the balls if you can find them. They scan at 1p but the egg shape ones scan at £2.50. Found a shelf full of the surf capsules but scanned at contact member of staff:eek: Also found a toy story drinks bottle, the metal type that kids take to school, that also scanned at contact member of staff but maybe different in other stores. Found a few wombles, just put them into price checker so fingers crossed.
