My court date is 7th Feb and I started to fill in forms yesterday. Feel sick with nerves about it all but my daughter is helping me fill them in. Trying to work on all the reasons- did see that post written as a guide. Just finding it hard to put it all together. Am on benefits so no surplus. Likely to end up with BRO as did use on line gambling site last 2 years on and off. Feel OR will judge me dont know exact figure of loss to put down on SOA. My bank statements look awful- but I did not use cards for credit on the on line site. Getting myself into a right state. Be glad when court date and interview is over- dreading it all especially interview.

Thank you so much for your support and advice yes have read that thread. I suppose overall period of 2 years is 10K did not use c.cards was paying creditors under DMP until Dec 2010 and prior to DMP in 2009 kept up with all my payments. Was late with payments under DMP a few times and they then returned my cheque because I was late and took me off plan. Could not face contacting all creditors again and think with dealing with all family stuff let it build up, with payments now and then.

Have not been on any on line sites since Dec 2011 and neither do I ever want to again. Blocked and closed them all down. Yes did have a look at Gamcare site and realise now that it was form of escape for me from all difficulty personal stuff going on at time, work, and family illness.

I realise the true value of money now and realise I have been stressed and depressed for some time and on line gambling (slots) was made to easy and I got caught up in it all. I actually feel sense of relief that that side is all over and thought of ever wasting that money ever again makes me feel sick.

BR is a big step but a lot of circumstances along the way have brought me to this point and I hope that I can start again know it wont be easy and regret mistakes but have learnt the hard way from them.

Going to complete forms by Friday then try not to think about it until court date pm 7th. Have been honest on the forms and accept that will have a BRO against me. But to be free of the calls and letters and some peace of mind will be a comfort.

From your post it sounds as though you have felt a real sense of relief that the nightmare IS over and you will be able to start rebuilding your life again.

I've finally booked my court date for the 8th so we must compare notes! I'll be thinking of you and keeping everything crossed that it goes smoothly for you.

Well the forms are all filled in ready for my BR hearing tomorrow. Thanks to all the helpful people who post on this site I'm not actually dreading it as much as I thought I would be, just want to get it all over and done with. Will post tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

Hi everyone, welcome to the February 2012
Bankruptcy Club.

This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during February 2012. So please feel free to join and post.

Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.

Remember this is your board so keep posting.

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.

Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.
