and for the final episode in this series of disappointments:
this morning I got a call to tell me that the viewing arranged for today had been cancelled, the landlord has decided to sell instead and wants "offers in excess of £600,000" which I doubt I could get a mortgage on -- and I don't want to buy anyway.
I think this means the following is an accurate history of this:
viewing booked
viewing cancelled
train tickets cancelled
viewing re-booked
train tickets booked
train boarded
viewing cancelled apartment gone
return home
apartment available
viewing booked friday
viewing cancelled
viewing booked
apartment removed from market
viewing cancelled0 -
Honestly, while I agree that's a poor showing from the LL/LA to mess you around like that, I wouldn't be making a journey like that unless I had arrangements to see about 8/10 properties. Viewings fall through very often and it's a long way to go to have a complete wasted trip not finding anything.Sealed Pot Challenge #239

For anyone interested it's this place: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-35829392.htmlHonestly, while I agree that's a poor showing from the LL/LA to mess you around like that, I wouldn't be making a journey like that unless I had arrangements to see about 8/10 properties. I was in the situation where I wanted this apartment, I had no interest in any others and assuming there were no glaring flaws (like holes in the walls and corpses in every room) I was prepared to commit to renting it. As I explained to the letting agents I talked to, the only purpose of the viewing was to confirm it was as listed and if it was I would commit to renting while I was there, the viewing wasn't just to casually see how it looked.0 -
Nice.
You wouldn't get that much in London, which is where I thought it would be.
That agent takes a good photo. Other agents photos aren't nearly as nice
. Have you tried ringing one of the others to see what they say?
But to buy, no way. Grade II, sea fret, render & crittal will be costly. Bet that's why the owner is selling- notice of major works perhaps?0 -
I was beginning to wonder if there was a dead dog buried in the garden and a caravan full of new tenants already parked on the drive..........Make £2026 in 2026
