Well many glasses of squash later I have had a bit of an eBay moment. Having decluttered the wardrobe I realised the whole thing was black, so I one have some brown to add to it. Hoping the few bits I have added recently will carry on selling and will mean I have more eBay money.
Toe nails done, fingernails being done later.
Down side is had row with DH over of all things adding soap powder to washing. Why doesn't he realise if the way he says things only results in my snapping back and then in tears and him being all grumpy then it doesn't work so why do it?
That aside house is gleaming as it's amazing what a bit of temper will achieve when applied correctly. We now have the Halifax account for the bills so that is in process of being transferred. Plus another £100 for the anti Santander fund courtesy of Halifax nice to see the banks being so helpful to each other!Start info Dec11

Sorry to hear that OH is less than understanding of the financial peril you are in. I guess you have a difference in outlook with his being something will turn up to make things right, and you want to plan for the worst and hope for the best. I guess he doesn't see that if you debt bust now and nothing bad does happen, then you will be in a much better position to enjoy life....
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

You are right, he very much thinks of this as it is fine for now and if matters change then there will be something that happens to make it all OK. He has already said he has a plan for selling bits off to pay the debt IF he has to.
The worst thing is the soap not washing off was almost certainly a direct result of my overfilling the machine. And of course there were powder stains on his trousers not of course my stuff also in the machine at the same time. It was my fault as I am the one going on about making savings. He said it was using too much powder that was the problem and that was not MSE. Sadly my response was "well get on and do the washing yourself then" - with quite a strong hint of temper rather than explaining how it occurred. I don't like being wrong or getting stuff wrong. I should have left out the last few items then it would not be a problem. He could have been nicer about the way he said it. It is in the past I do not need to relive this, but I am still quite upset about it. Worse thing was I don't even remember him saying thank you for the Valentine card - that is probably what I am most upset about.
I am a stress monkey - I want the bills gone so I can get on with living knowing that I can think of nice things to spend money on not what's left at the end of the bill paying ceremony occurring every month.
Time moves so slowly when you know what needs to happen but you just have to wait for the next pay check and the one after that, all the time watching the pennies and hoarding the pounds.
Right onwards to the dinner scenario for tonight. I feel very down and flat, even having done the gym thing today.
On the positive side I had a 6 month post laser eye surgery check up and all OK - another supply of eye drops for the just in case moment.Start info Dec11

Hi Missrir
I have subscribed to your thread, I read it through early this morning and I am really impressed with the way you are tackling your debts. I'd like to stay around and help if I can.
It is so difficult dealing with debt if your OH is not quite on board, I don't know what to advise, but perhaps he'll take it on board as he sees you knuckling down to get you both to a better place.

Hi Piq
Thanks for the vote of confidence, I am just having an "I feel sorry for me, boo too life is so dreadful" and I have had to fight some very uncharitable thoughts. It is completely surmountable, I just need to feel a bit more us and less me.Start info Dec11

We all get times like that. It seems like you drag yourself through one day to find another day is not so bad. I think, and do feel free to tell me to bog off, that you do need time for yourself and a little spoiling, it doesn't have to cost a fortune or include your OH. Just a little me time!

Right so today I managed to not cry at work, and it was a matter of treading turkeys at work. Sadly it is not going to get any better tomorrow. DH was lovely last night when he phoned and again today so really hoping it was a blip which is over.
I have managed to get my spreadsheet to link to the cash flow sheet so it's all working. Amount in bank account is zero but every thing is paid so only 9 days left til new bank account is baptised.
I am going to try and put into practice the talk I gave to some at work about Positive Mental Attitude. I have a duty to be professional at work so I need to take some of the cool calm and apply it to the rest of my life. I don't need to be fighting with DH I need to be working with him.
So with this in mind (ha ha no pun intended) I am going to Pilates having had a dog snog and play time. Then I am going to have a long hot bath and attempt to sleep.Start info Dec11

That sounds more like it! A dog snog! I like it:rotfl:
Also very impressed at linking anything in a spreadsheet, not within my skillset I'm afraid.
Don't be so hard on yourself, enjoy Pilates and sleep well.

Oh I just do not want to be awake today. Actually managed 6 hours sleep last night - consecutive ones at that, but woke up feeling as if someone has smacked me over the head with a baseball bat. How does that work - more sleep = feels worse?
I do not want to have to spell out what the definition of team working is and I do not want to have to point out the actions recently made are NOT in the definition or spirit of team working. Honestly it is like dealing with a bunch of 5 year olds! Then I suspect I will be recruiting. Oh well what will be will be. I'd far rather be paying people who are nice and want the money and the job than those who make everything hard work and act as if they are the ones doing me a huge favour.
That aside I am going to continue not spending money this month. Wearing the first of the Ebay recycled wardrobe updates - please with it as it means I am for once not in black at work. No one has noticed though, so not sure it is as big a deal as I thought?
4 more days to DH pay day so will then be able to work out savings for March for the Anti-Santander fund. Bank account still at zero and Amex due any day now to work out the April payments.
So dear readers, back to grindstone I go, putting my little nose firmly back in the groove and feet in the track, marching ever round to the beat of the distant drum. I think I was a pit pony in a former life.Start info Dec11

WARNING - do not read this if you work in Halifax Customer Services
So Halifax managed to open the new account, and eventually send out the logon info for the online banking - by post not by email as was stated.
Cue me logging on - no problems, go to "pay a person" so I can snaffle the £100 switching bonus to the Anti-Santander account and "Sorry you cannot do this without a phone number on your record, please call us".
Check details - number is there AND correct. No I hadn't accidentally done something it took me over a minute to find the screen!
I then made the school girl error of actually calling Halifax idiot land - sorry call centre. SEVEN security questions later (what colour knickers are you wearing today, how many direct debits are there (erm none you haven't swapped them yet) TWICE as the first resident of idiot land didn't know and transferred me as "unverified"
So resident of idiot land number 2 finally coughs and mumbles "oh yeah there's a fault on the system and it's locked you out for 7 days"
I mean what sort of cockeyed system automatically locks you out when you logon? it really takes a special sort of untrained monkey to come up with that situation :T very "speshul" indeed.
Cue complaint - with the response "that's what the computer says" not "sorry madam for the inconvenience however this is the quickest way of resolving the matter and I will let the technical support people know so they can resolve the issue".
Then the icing on the cake "well I can set you up for telephone banking which will take 10 to 14 days so you can move them money that way" Which part of I WANT TO MOVE IT NOW is 10 to 14 days? Seriously I think the prerequisite for Halifax call centre residents is "please remove brain and leave in bin, collect at end of shift."
So - my money but I can't get at it. I will wait 7 days and if they do not SORT IT OUT then I will close the account.
I am awaiting the Customer Service survey which every tom, !!!!!! and harry seems to be doing after every encounter with a bank / credit card :rotfl:
Aside from that DH has potential for lots of overtime over next 2 weeks so will be not seeing him but hopefully getting more money for the Anti-Santander fund.Start info Dec11
