Found 5p today and managed to spend a complete and utter obscene amount in Mr T made rice pudding to fill us up so now very full and still feel completely shattered. Have decided that feeling perpetuAlly knackered and constantly having joint pain with constantly feeling bloated is not normal and I have to do something so I have been a brave girl and made an appointment with the quack. This will undoubtably be a complete waste of time and do nothing to actually find out what the problem is but I can then say I did do something.Start info Dec11

Hi missrir. just catching up..seems like life has been a bit tricky recently. Hope that improves pronto. I kow how it is. Me and my OH have been sniping a lot recently..been being far too competitive with the insults and put downs and not enough supportive behaviour as we are both trying to keep the household going and all the proverbial plates spinning..
Well done on booking an appointment. Sounds like a good idea to me:)

No dear one, that is not a normal way to feel. Well done for making an appointment. You can gently insist that you feel ill and not be dismissed. If that fails you can get a second opinion.
I hope you feel better soon missrir.

Some good stuff to report here - had free dinner out last night courtesy of friend who is staying for a few days.
Had pension review with IFA and made a few changes to the status quo which should be better when I am old and infirm and best of all requires no increase in funds from me!
Nearly end of month, managed to persuade EDF to return the £200.65 they owed us (goes toward the slush fund for everyday bills I am afraid as we had already "spent" this money)
Also managed to persuade the idiot accident / sickness / unemployment lot to TAKE the DD and make sure the cover is intact.
All bills paid and now just have to get car into repair centre for the scrapped bumper to be sorted.
Currently trying to sort out a dog sitter for a weekend away to celebrate our first anniversary and failing. Dog may be coming with us or home alone at this rateStart info Dec11

Bestest ever mate is did and house sitting for us for our weekend away, bless her. when I redid the car insurance I added her was an extra £20 but she does so much for us dog sitting wise is nice to be able to leave her a car to use plus gives her some way of keeping insurance going as due to break up if a relationship she no longer has a car. so she gets house dog car and some money for train fare here. Have to sort out a few little tasks today like a new cord for the curtains as the existing one has managed to chew itself to pieces causing a tussle when trying to close or open the curtains the open curtain surgery to chop all the bits it out of the track mechanism. Very irritating.
Finally managed to get DH to sort out his pension and update his details with the fact he is married so I can claim the spouse bitif he predeceases me. Only a year down the line love him!
Not a lot more to report, have done company expenses so Monday can simply pop that in post and hey presto money! Will update all finances Monday too then it's the start of a long month for us, second car insurance due to be paid and a few other bits also in need of including insurance on my jewellery separate policy cheaper than adding to household policy but still has to be paid

...open curtain surgery! :rotfl:
It's good to get the pensions sorted out, it seems to get missed somehow in all the money saving exercises. Just think you'll be debt free by then and free to enjoy yourself!
Give doglet a kiss from me.

Doglet has been thoroughly confused by a web cam. I have been teaching the parental types how to Skype. Practice fascinated the Doglet as he could see himself and someone else at the same time!
Sadly DH had an incident in the car removing the wing mirror on a wall. Not a planned expense and really disappointing at this time. Also very infuriating as it was so low speed too. Oh well off to the body shop to find out the damage tomorrow.Start info Dec11

£465! For a wing mirror. It is heated and so on, and as the car is less than 6 months old there are no scrapheap parts. Damn and blast that is all the savings gone.Start info Dec11

Still grumbling about the wing mirror, it has stuffed up the savings plans dramatically as in back at square 1 :mad::mad::mad::mad:
Suppose the advantage is that the savings are the wing mirror fund so perhaps I should turn this on it's head :money:.I am trying this school of thought but it's not really working for me truth be told.
Worried about DH - he is making funny noises about money and I don't know why. Think its a advance panic as having been 2 weeks without OT for him to date. That said he was looking at the Geneva Motorshow and working out if we book now we can get there for peanuts, quite what we pay the peanuts with is anyone's guess. I know we have to have treats, but not sure these need to be such items, or paid for now!
Had Popsicle and his OH staying, they tried to say don't worry you will get loads of money when we die - did little to comfort me  would rather have them alive and enjoying their company :beer:that any money. Plus I think the !!!!!!s will hang around and haunt me! :rotfl:I can imagine it - [ghostly whisper in ears "woooohooohooo we don't drink that wine":eek::eek:]
Right onwards and upwards, there is some sunshine out there and I have 2 meetings to prepare for starting at stupid o'clock tomorrow am so best get finger pulled out of bottom hole and get on with it really.Start info Dec11

Managed to get the car down to £406 with a bit of haggling and the good old fashioned flirting - mostly with the cutest JRT puppy at the repair place as I was making gooey noises over her and getting puppy kisses whilst the man was typing the number in the machine, not sure he intended that to be the low amount but hey I paid and off we went.Start info Dec11
