Hi SM - so sorry to hear about your knee, that's miserable. Jeyes fluid isn't banned - it's still available on Amazon, which is how I bought it when we needed to clean everything for the biosecurity inspections for NZ. They've got it in various different sizes on the Amazon page.0

SM on the Garden fence thread, Monnagran has a tip for keeping deer off her rose beds. She tied plastic bags to canes and planted the canes between her plants, I wonder if that would help with your problem.

What a day! I got a phone call last night from some octogenarian friends in the village to see if I would look after their daughters dog (they normally doggy sit every day) while they went for a hospital appointment this morning. She's still here!!! no communication, I'm on my own as He Who Knows is still up with DD1 and haven't been able to get down to take Cookie today and I still don't know what's happening or who is picking the pup up or when! She's a sweetie but nervous and needs constantly to be touching you, it's wearing and I'm worried!!!0

Oh Lyn, that's not good, did they give you any indication of when she would be collected?
SM - how's your knee doing, better I hope?
Love to all xx0 -
Nope! I said to granddad as he left her that if he rang me when they were home I'd take the dog back to them but I can't get them on the phone, we've left an answerphone message that is all we can do. Their daughter who is the owner is on holiday in the Carribean, the granddaughter is in Berlin at uni and the grandson doesn't live at home any more. I can't do anything other than wait, poor dog I don't even know what they feed her or when. I just hope all is OK and that someone lets me know tonight just what IS happening.0

Oh dear, can imagine you are bit concerned Lyn with not hearing anything but you have done all you can, guess no other option but to sit tight.0

Oh dear Lyn, do you think they might have admitted the person with the appointment, although you would have thought they would have contacted you.
I hope you hear something soon

Phew!!! and breathe, poor loves they're just back home so have taken pup back. They thought Mike had had a second small stroke, he had one 10 years ago and all day has been tests, CT scan etc and waiting, and waiting and waiting some more. They had nothing to eat or drink in all that time and were told not to drive so had to arrange for another of their daughters to go to the hospital and drive them home in their car. They are so tired and were just making a cuppa and bacon and eggs for supper and then an early night. It wasn't a stroke thank heavens but they were just too tired to talk so I left them to it, gave them a hug and came home. Relieved doesn't begin, they are lovely and this village would grind to a halt without their hard work and input to all aspects of it. I hope they sleep well tonight!0

Well that's a relief Lyn, but how worrying for them, they obviously didn't expect to be there all day.
Sleep well
