    Hi Candlelight,

I can't recommend the litter boxes enough! Although they all go out we find it useful to keep a box just in case... We brought 1 cat home from the rescue centre 2 years ago and proudly set him up in his own room with a litter tray.... It turns out he liked to a) dig a lot and b) spin like a whirling dervish during his ablutions.... Litter box was bought and solved the problem, (we found taking the door off helped them adjust to it) although the carpet in the study has never quite recovered I fear...

I do hope Himself is feeling much better soon.

Your new furniture sounds lovely :-)

Haha, Hoglet, I wondered how our cats spread the litter so far... now I know! Have a mental image of a Tasmanian devil!
  • haha Kate I think that's pretty accurate! The state of the litter box confirmed it but at least it was easy to clean :-)
  • THE dockling was fine and walked to the pub perfectly willingly and then slept under the table all evening. He Who Knows even managed to get his medication into him before we went. Didn't win he quiz this week but that's OK and the lurcha seems a bit happier so that's MUCH better than winning a quiz!!!

I am not so good..i have tonsitilitis..really bad..can't swallow properly..went to doctor and it seems just about every gland is swollen..no wonder i ache..got a nice temperature going on too..i have antibiotics..8 a day..2 pills 4 times a day..i will rattle..and they taste vile..disintegrate instantly the moment they touch water..yuk..

  • FTM look after you petal, keep taking those tablets and get yourself better, the world will wait while you do it and so will the housework!!! just concentrate on No 1 for a while and take the time you need to recharge your batteries, Lyn xxx.
  • Take it easy FTM. Stay warm and cosy and wash some trashy tv all weekend. Apparently it's to be wet and windy anyway so don't think you will be missing much. In fact I can hear the rain hitting against the kitchen window so it may be underway already.

I'm just back from a Costco shop - oh jeez. I gave in to the 7.5 foot pre lit Christmas Tree and nearly forgot the crockpot which was partly why I went (It had £10 off). We ended up with a trolley and one of those flat bed cart things. I guess it means I really have no reason to go back before the end of the year..................

Kate - it was ridiculously warm here this afternoon. I was working from home and had the back door and kitchen windows fully open - seemed very odd in mid October.

Candlelight - I haven't had scrambled egg with cheese for ages, you've really put me in the mood for it now. I can see a very odd Saturday evening dinner combination coming on :)

I'm off to the hairdressers tomorrow - at long last. My fringe seems to have sprouted manically over the last few weeks and I feel like I'm looking through fog so it will be good to feel human again although I'm one of those people who panics at the thought of losing a millimetre more hair than I have to!

So, I'm off outside to the garage to get bread from the freezer - none inside and no bread flour to make any. I'm not as organised as I thought I was!

  • Good morning all,

    FTM
time to be spoilt I think. Take care of yourself, keep taking the tablets and let the family look after you. There seems to be some nasty bugs around at the moment.

LYN I hope you had a reasonable night with Docky and that you and He Who Knows are a little less stressed.

SM you naughty thing, getting carried away at Costco, we are hoping to go next Sunday because DD wants to have a look as well. Mind you with her still being on one crutch she gets tired, you know how big Costco warehouses are. I always think of scrambled egg with cheese as comfort food. I make a good scrambled egg, but only when we feel under the weather, don't seem to bother for breakfast normally, and I will never have it on holiday because I don't like the way they make it. (I know I m odd)

We are off to the pet shop this morning to buy a new toy for Flora. Her litter box arrived yesterday, and I was expecting her to view it with suspicion, which she did for a while, but then was absolutely fine. It is great not having litter scattered all over the floor.

HOGLET hope you are having a good weekend.

VJsMUM I hope you are feeling better now, although I expect your tummy is a bit sore.

AOT hello, pop in and say Hi, hope you are OK

Have a good weekend if you can and stay war and dry

    Much love
