Oh poor little Zebra, bless him, I hope he is better soon. Poor Mum and Dad as well I hope Ezra's bottom isn't too sore because lots of "poo" does play havoc with a baby's bottom.

Don't worry Lyn he is obviously in good hands.

    Much love

Hi everyone, FTM hope hubby is feeling better now and good on Sam for stepping up to the plate.

MrsL, hope Zebra et al are feeling better soon.

Got a bargain off eB@y yesterday - John Lewis dark wood curtain rail for 99p :j:j Was feeling really guilty when I went to collect it but the seller was lovely and even had my change ready :p So that's now up at the landing window and it looks really nice.

Been very busy at work lately so that's kept me occupied.

Off to make lunches and tomorrow night's dinner as we're off to the gym after work

    Hi everyone,

Sorry to hear about so much sickness and injury, I hope everyone is feeling better and back on the mend.

Been a quiet few days here, I did squeeze in a run yesterday evening but as it is now dark when I get home I've changed the route to one which is better lit, and it is considerably hillier! :-S

VJsmum - DH and I are on the 5:2 as well, how are you finding it? It's worked wonders for us since last September and has reduced our grocery bill. Starve day for me today and the girl next to me in the coffee shop (black coffee for me!) was eating a warm cheese, ham and mustard brioche - it smelt soooo good.

It's bin day todayt and someone must of put of scraps of old fish in their bins last night (we don't have wheelie bins here, just bags, so the cats get in the bins....). The 2 boys couldn't resist, despite being far too well fed, so we had 2 cats wanting to snuggle up stinking of rotting fish. Good job we love them! As well as being very stinky Alfie claimed at least half of our bed last night - we are total pushovers.

A foggy start to the day seems to be leading to sunshine now. Rain forecast for Thurs and Fri, but hoping for a good weekend as DH is reffing his first rugby match.

Best get on and do some work now, enjoy your evenings everyone

And you can have it tomorrow :D. I am finding it ok. I generally fast on Mondays and Thursdays. The "you can have it tomorrow" mantra helps, even though I usually don't. It's how I gave up smoking.

Vegetable soup helps loads, tasty and filling.

    Poor zebra
I wanna be in the room where it happens

We fast on Mondays and Wednesdays as we do the weekly shop on the Thursday and that is no fun on a fast day!

I'm the same - I'm telling myself I'll eat the yummy smelling food tomorrow but I very rarely do.
  • DD2 has communicated and Zebra is better today, but still squitty bottomed, at least today he's hungry again so that's a good sign. She and Hubby are now fine and completely over it so I have hopes that little one will be better enough to come visit Oma and Opa this weekend. We were intending to visit some beautiful gardens where they have massive amounts of Rhodedendrons and Azaleas which are all in bloom at the present time, the colours are incredible but the weather looks like a washout for Saturday so we'll have to play it by ear. If the worse comes to the worse we can always pop up to one of the local garden centres and have coffee, and let Zebra see some more of his very new world, I'm wondering just what Docky is going to make of Zebra and what Zebra is going to make of Docky? I'll let you lnow!!!

I am pleased he is on the mend Lyn, hope they can still visit you.

I must tell you that the rhodedendrons and azaleas at the Villa Carlotta on Lake Como are out of this world, somewhere you must try to go one day. I have always loved these shrubs, Mum and Dad had quite a collection of Azaleas such beautiful colours.

I do hope you manage your visit this weekend

  • CANDLELIGHT our rhodedendrons and azaleas are much closer to home in EXBURY GARDENS on the other side of Southampton towards Beauleigh. It's a big country house belonging to the de Rothschild family with acres of wonderful grounds, a Camellia walk in the spring, daffodil meadows too, a small gague steam train, lakes with huge carp that come to the bank to be fed, streams and water gardens, an art gallery and the national Nerine collection. It's a super place to visit on a nice sunny day but in the wet the paths are so closely flanked by the vegetation you get soaked very quickly. If you're ever down this way on your hols though it's well worth a visit, Lyn xxx.

LYN that sounds lovely, I will remember Exbury Gardens if we are down your way. I hope the weather is kind to you at the weekend. We have had torrential rain for most of the morning, but seems to have stopped for the time being.

AOT How are you feeling now you are nearly finished your first injections? Is the exhaustion subsiding?

I am interested because a friend of ours has been put on Vitamin B12 tablets, not injections. He does have a deficiency but I don't think it is pernicious anaemia and after 6 weeks he is beginning to feel somewhat better.

    Take care
