Good morning all..hope your all well..
MLW..so glad you had a great weekend..thank you for posting the bits and bobs and the surprise..i won't say a word to them..i just love to see the look on their faces when they get post..its lovely..and poor postie either looks like he might get mugged or just throw his post in the air and run for the hills.I can imagine docky dog being all excited and running around bless him.
Well we had an eventful weekend..Simon spent it throwing up..think he had food poisoning..where he got it i honestly don't know..we all eat the same and unless he ate something whilst out i don't know..it was awful for him..and he never wants to see the inside of the bucket again..i was worried about him he seemed to not stop..but he did thankfully and spent 2 days laying on the sofa sleeping...
The girls rallied and so did Sam..he took them out to the allotment for a few hours and got them digging and weeding..then when they came home he had treated them to icecreams from the shop and put up the bouncy castle for them..i spent it baking and making freezer meals..
On the girlie front with them not sleeping..i already have blackout blind in the their bedroom and lined thick curtains..i have made sure their not hot or chilly..but they are big enough to do that themselves..hopefully it was just a one off thing.
Good news for Iris..she has a wobbly tooth and a new big girl tooth coming through too..she is so happy..
My garden looks good..all lush and green ..slugs abound all over..darn things..unfortunately they love my flowers as much as i do..will have to deal with them..we have Pigeons nesting in our Beech tree's..meaning huge poo droppings all over..and i mean huge..and the poor little doves have made a nest on our gazebo..they keep flying into the window..we have bird imprints all over..and did you ever have the feeling your being watched..we do constantly..they sit on the windowsill watching us..its cute and sweet but am worried about their nest..its a bit precariously balanced on the edge..
Right got to go..
glad your all ok..
back later
love

FTM parcel is in the post today, hope the girls like thier pressie too!!! I know you will, Lyn xxx.
Poor Simon, hope he is completely over it now, it's the thing I HATE most in life if I'm ill!!!0 -
FTM, poor Simon I hope he is feeling a little better now. I am not a baby by any means, but I just hate being sick. Sam seems to have mustered the girls on the lottie very well, and what a big help as well. I am the eldest of 3 girls and I would dearly have loved an elder brother, but obviously it was never going to be.
Have just cooked a big casserole of minced beef, onions and tomatoes to make shepherds pies for the freezer. I will cook the potato later tonight when the mince has cooled down. 2 grandchildren coming for their dinner tonight so they have toad in the hole, roast potatoes, green beans and sweetcorn with lots of gravy. Orange jelly made with a J2O for dessert.
Himself was repairing back garden fence yesterday so quite a productive day all in all and then today took DD1 to physio and then took her shopping, I think there may be a great shortage of toilet rollsA*da have packs of 24, and we bought a pack yesterday and she today. Mind you I was down to my last 2 rolls which is unknown for me, but no way can I match Lyn, who, if I remember correctly has been known to have 100:)
Car is going in for it's service and MOT tomorrow, so fingers crossed and then tomorrow evening I am meeting the girls I used to work with for a meal at Wetherspoon's. I am looking forward to it because we are exchanging birthday presents, but I never go out in the evening by myself. Himself will drop me off and pick me up and we won't be late.
Has been quite overcast here today and I think we must expect little improvement this week, where is this heat wave we were told about a few weeks ago?
Must go now, love to everyone and hugs if you need or want one.

Please missis we've got it down here, it's beautiful out there and so warm I had to take off a layer when I was out across the common with the houndicus, it's so lovely and warm, the sky is blue, the breeze is warm and all the flowers smell incredible, all in all a lovely day!"!!0

Lyn would you mind sending some of it up to us then, we are off to Norfolk late in June and I really would like some sun by then.

FTM - it could have been Norovirus. If someone gets food poisoning and there doesn't seem to be any reason why, then I always assume it's Noro. Keep an eye cos one or other of the rest of you might get it. Actually, I always work on any bouts of vomiting being Noro - it is the only reason I keep anti bac spray in the house cos it spreads like wildfire.
Hello - sorry for the absence and thanks for missing me.
I have been away - a week boating in France with the family, then a few days back and I was off to Seoul with work. Been trying to get over the jet lag since.
The boating holiday was lovely, no phones, no internet, no tv, no car and therefore nothing at more than 4 mph. We all got on - well, mostly. It was OH, DS and me then SiL and her 2 kids, and MiL (SiL and I are both daughters in law, SiL was widowed in tragic circumstances 4 years ago). So MiL's often ddown mood is understandable - but she can be a bit "spectre at the feast" sometimes. Still I coped OK - SiL is far more tolerant than OH and I. Weather was glorious except for the last day.
Did I say I hurt my leg? Jumped off the boat and did the splits
It still isn't right, but is getting better.
Then 3 days at home and off to Seoul to teach. They are always so lovely there - I think it's the friendliest place I know. A lot of public grieving for the ferry victims of course
OH and DS were away this weekend volunteering on a steam railway so DD and I were home. It gave me good chance to recover and recover the house from me not really being in action for 2 and a half weeks and other people being in my house.
Hope everyone is well - I am back on the 5:2 but today is an eat day so prawns with pasta for tea.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
My poor little Zebra had his first batch of injections late last week and they now give one for rotavirus, and he seems to have got a low dose of this from the vaccine poor little mite and passed it on in a mild way to both his parents. DD2 describes it as poomageddon but says he's taking the dioralite as well as still wanting his feeds so isn't mega worried about him. In fact she says he's only a little bit crotchety and a bit sleepy because of it. Good job she's a doctor isn't it? I'm the one doing the worrying!!!0
