Noticed last night that one of my late sown dwarf french beans has opened it's first little white flower :j Might still be time for a harvest if the weather favours us.0

Thanks for that MBE; and thanks for the help from this thread. Before I depart; could you lend me a Tenner ? :rotfl:2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax:
Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -
All right, all right, I know I've been a bit quiet of late but what's my thread doing on page 2, eh?
In the meantime I've sown early potatoes for Christmas, picked loads of beans, a few tomatoes (although they'll never be a patch on last year's), eaten kohl rabi (my most pleasing vegetable this year), and even a few courgettes.
I'm hoping this little hot spell will improve things for the toms.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
toms - you and me both. If they don't ripen by next weekend I am going to cave in and make green tom chutney.0

Patience girl! You could have another month yet!If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Hi guys-you know the panic the other week when I thought my toms had blight but it turned out to be my own error? Well my outside ones definitely have it, no doubt about it. Fine yesterday, this morning all withered and brown including the fruit. Haven't had chance to destroy them as I've been out since early this morning so I'll take some pics tomorrow before burning them!0

:T Finally..............just picked my first greenhouse tomato today :T
Don't give up yet Little Vics, there's still (hopefully) a good few weeks till the first frost of Autumn."We could say the government spends like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors, because the sailors are spending their own money."

Here we go-blight on my outside gardeners delight toms:
All binned now. Luckily my greenhouse ones all look ok and my bush toms at the front of my house are still fine-another basket full again today and even more ready to harvest. They will definitely be my tomatoes of choice next year!0 -
I live in Yorkshire don't forget! I'll be out later to pinch off anything that doesn't have fruit on it to concentrate the energy on making things go red.0

Lost all my toms to blight this year. Gutted. They were all indoor in the tunnel.
Elsewhere, not hugely successful this year with anything really. I blame the weatherGrocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
NSD Challenge: October 0/140
