I have loads of strawberries, tomatoes have flowers.
Courgette plants have no flowers yet, my squash and pumpkin plants both flowered then they fell off
My back garden is flooded, all my flower plants I planted out yesterday are now swimming in a pond like soil
Hopefully the veg and salad will be okay as they are mostly in pots
I hate this weather0 -

Talking of which, anyone know where I can get a job lot of gopher wood at a decent price? :wall:
By the way, I've got 2 flowers on my first ever Sweet Pepper. Pics to follow if the rain eases off.0 -

I won't hold my breath then. :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Sam Oglethwaite's the man for wood, apparently. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
It's raining and will probably flood again tonight.
I've made the following decisions:
I've decided to decapitate my triffid-esq pepper plant and see if it will turn into a bush.
I've also decided to drink a lot of cocktails tonight.0 -

That's a good plan. I have wine now
I finally did it, I put an umbrella over the courgette plant with flowers first thing this morning, yes it looks daft and so did I doing it but it's the best I could come up with in the absence of a greenhouse to give it a chance to dry out. Hubby burst out laughing for some reason when he saw it, can't think why0 -

I have wine too. Just drinking it in support, you understand.
Like the brolly idea. :rotfl:
Well I came back after being out for most of the day to find a collapsed tomato plant. I have no idea what the cause is, it's literally just collapsed, no other way to describe it.
I have to say, I'm getting kinda fed up with all the garden 'issues' now, there does seem to be too many of them to make gardening enjoyable for me this year.Herman - MP for all!0 -
