I haven't had any strawberries.
Perhaps I should plant some?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
You've definitely got a better chance of getting strawberries if you plant some.
In theory it's like leaving monkeys in a room with writing implements, eventually you should get Shakespeare.
Eventually a bird should drop just the right seed, in the right place and you won't pull it out by mistake.
Otherwise, it might be better to buy some plants.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

 I quite like the idea of that. I'll hang on a bit longer... :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
I have a pond. It needs a wee bit of tidying up where I've been messy with the mortar, but apart from that I think it's done:
Quite pleased. Looks less like a telephone too.12 weeks and 5 days from first taking a spade to the ground. Not bad considering only about 3 of those days have been dry.

Still on the frog. I'm not getting them for you!If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
I was fretting that my tomatoes are miles behind where they were last year, but looking back at last year's thread I see that I first spotted some ripening on 22nd July. So things really aren't that bad.
My gooseberries were ripe by this time though. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
That looks good MBE.
This year one frog (with it's legs still attached I'm pleased to hear) next year tadpoles :j It's great watching them turn from little eggs to frogs. Is that a planting strip at the back of it? ferns would look nice there.
My female courgette flower opened before the first male one but in the pouring rain and got flattened and ruined then the male opened today. Hubby looked horrified when he noticed that all the plants survived this year, he finds 1 plant enough apparently.
Can't believe you don't have strawberries MBE, never noticed that before, you must get some, they're soooooo tasty.0 -

Oh Annie! Has no-one told you that it will require two frogs to get tadpoles? My frog is currently looking for a lady frog.
And yes, it's a little raised bed as I had stone left over. I was planning on wildflowers for the bees, but I like the sound of ferns. It'll probably end up being tomatoes. Can't believe you don't have strawberries MBE, never noticed that before, you must get some, they're soooooo tasty.
I've actually got some on the way, courtesy of a nice young lady.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
